The Smanski Podcast

I used to say I would never ever run a marathon when I was in High School, but college changes a man and I ended up doing one. Of course, being who I am, it's not the way most people do one!

Try something new that might scare you at first, you never know where it's going to lead you on this journey of life. I've done things I never thought I'd do and it's changed my life forever.

A lot of us wear masks, either to fit in with a certain group, hide how we really feel, or some other reason. I hope you will put that mask down though and just be yourself. You were created for a reason and you have a lesson to teach everyone. Each person who has entered into my life has taught me something, whether good or bad, I love it all. What types of masks do you wear?

There are a lot of people who seem to only focus on the negative things in life and, honestly, forget to smile. Sometimes all your life needs is to switch your mindset around to focusing on the positive things and sometimes looking for the "blessings in disguise" and I believe fully that your life will become a far better one than you could have ever dreamed.

Starting in 2014 and every other year since I've had the opportunity to serve a week in Guatemala with an organization called Common Hope. We go down as a "Vision Team" and build a house, go on social work visits, do other jobs around the compound where we stay, visit schools, and visit our sponsored children. It is the greatest thing I get to do in my life and I encourage everyone to go on a trip to serve somewhere at least once in their lifetime.

I found my brother on a podcast and it was awesome. I submitted mine to apple and it went through but I had to change my image. Super proud of both my brothers though. Comment below on ideas for podcasts you'd like to hear about.

You may find failure along the way, but pick yourself up and keep rolling! Sometimes you'll take chances on things that will change your life forever! Trust me!

The people I work with are the most interesting, weird bunch of people. We often make people laugh who listen to us talk to each other and I thought it would be awesome to start podcast(s) with them. Random phrases I like to blurt out throughout the day! It's something to pass the time and adds a little rhyme and randomness to the days! I like to come up with a lot of them at work to lighten the mood, but often I blurt them out while at home too!!

Sometimes when at work, I get bored and start singing random songs, lately it's been to the Spiderman Tune. It passes the time and, at times, can lighten the heavy mood at work. Enjoy and don't forget to smile!!
