What is the somatic nervous system and how we can use it to ground ourselves
New name change! The Somatic SLP! In this episode, I cover the somatic nervous system. This branch of the autonomic nervous system controls our bodily sensations and voluntary movements. We can use this system to our advantage by recognizing the feelings we are experiencing and incorporating grounding techniques to calm us when needed.
