In this Episode host Denis J. Puska has an extended interview with CBC Sports broadcaster, Olympic host and Prime Monday Night Hockey's Andi Petrillo. Andi has written a new book called Just Call Me Andi Sports Stories from a Trailblazer. Puska also has a preview of the Canadian Junior Hockey League playoffs with focus on the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League as well as the Canadian Hockey League playoffs that are about to start. 

Host Denis J. Puska vists with author Oren Weisfeld on his new book from ECW Press - The Golden Generation How Canada Became a Basketball Powerhouse. Puska also has his thoughts on the recently completed Olympics and how hockey an benefit as a sport, plus he talks about the retirement of Buck Martinez.

In this episode host Denis J  Puska spends time with UPEI sports hall of fame inductee and Kapuskasing native Greg Gravel. He talks about being inducted into the sports hall of fame, his time playing hockey at UEPI and minor pro hockey, growing up in Kapuskasing and what he is doing now with The True Hockey Program. Puska also shares his memories of Jim Robson, the thoughts on the Super Bowl game and discusses changes to Ontario Curling.

In this latest episode of The Sports Hub, Denis J. Puska sits down with longtime and well known broadcaster Mark Hebsy Hebscher, who is best remembered for his work on Sportsline and the Hebsy Awards. Mark talks about some famous sports broadcasters, and of his new book Madness The Rise and Ruin of Sports Media.  There is also discussion on the upcoming Winter Olympics and the NHL at the Olympic Break. 

In this fifth episode, host Denis J. Puska visits with Martin Marion, a host and one of the founders of Born to Hunt a long running hunting TV series on Wild TV, The Sportsman Channel and TVA Sports. He talks about how the show first began, and the tour to celebrate 10 years giving away prizes and money. There is also sports notes segment talking about the city of Hamilton getting the American Hockey League and Puska The Prognosticator with his Superbowl Prediction. 

Host Denis J. Puska has a busy show as he talks about the NFL, College Football Playoff, hockey with the Timmins Rock of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, the Dryden Ice Dogs and the Superior International Junior Hockey League, the late David Branch, former OHL Commissioner. His guest is Latvian national junior team assistant coach and current assistant coach with Mercyhurst University Division I Karlis Zirnis.

In Episode 3 of The Sports Hub, host Denis J . Puska has an update on the Elliot Lake Arena with news reporter Rosalind Russell from Moose FM stations in Elliot Lake and Espanola. Puska also discusses the ECHL contract with its players and what it means to hockey plus Olympic Roster and outdoor game thoughts. 

In this Episode, host Denis J. Puska speaks to author, media instructor Dan Robson about his new book 'Hammered' on Dave The Hammer Schultz, tough guy with the Philadelphia Flyers, during the Broadstreet Bullies days in the 1970s. Robson discusses his relationship with Schultz and insights about the book. Puska also has his thoughts on two hot button subjects: The Winter Olympics its venues plus gambling with professional sports athletes.

Puska begins season 3 of The Sports Hub formerly The Sports Hub Network by interview Moonbeam/Kapuskasing native Guy Girouard who is currently the Assistant General Manager and Associate Coach with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Puska also gives his thoughts on the Toronto Blue Jays and the World Series, plus an update on golfer Hogan Blais. 

This is the last episode of Season Two of the program. it's all about the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail and a wrap up of 2025 with executive members Shane Turcotte and Dean Bliss. Special guest is Jessy DeChamplain who along with his father Francis were crowned Angler of the Year. There is also a tribute to former Montreal Canadiens goaltender Ken Dryden. 

Host Denis J. Puska spends time with Kapuskasing native Marc Blais and his son Hogan Blais. Marc played hockey in Kapuskasing growing up and turned to golf. He is a golfing professional. His son Hogan has become an accomplished amateur golfer in Canada and the United States and recently received a full scholarship to West Virginia University a Big 12 School located in Morgantown West Virginia. 

Join host Denis J. Puska a he visits with Joe Dominey who was part of the 25 people that rode in The Tour 21 raising money for Leukemia research. The riders from all over the world rode the same course at the Tour De France cycling race. Dominey shares his experiences of what it was like to be involved. 

Host Denis J. Puska catches up with Randy Russon from the Hockey North Hall of Fame that will be established in the spring of 2026 in the Canal District of Sault Ste Marie Ontario. Randy shares his thoughts on the Hall of Fame and about the first class of inductees. Plus we also have an update on an Episode done on The Great Challenge 2025 and news about a new podcast to the family. 

In this episode host Denis J. Puska spends time with Cochrane Ontario native and Saginaw Spirit goaltender Kaleb Papineau who plays in the Ontario Hockey League. The summer event combines street hockey, live entertainment, food, vendors and family fun. Events are taking place all across Canada including Sudbury. 

Host Denis J. Puska visits with Kapuskasing native Brendon Clavelle who discusses his hockey journey in the Model Town of the North before moving on to Timmins and then back home. He ventured down south and made his way to the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League playing for the Charlottetown Islanders. Clavelle also played U-Sport hockey for the University of Ottawa Gee Gees where he won a Canadian National title. 

Host Denis J. Puska has a special preview of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League Championship Series between the Greater Sudbury Cubs and the Hearst Lumberjacks. Puska gives you his keys to victory for both teams, has portions of an interview done with Lumberjacks Head Coach Marc Alain Begin and discusses the road to the Centennial Cup in the various other leagues across Canada.

In this episode host Denis J. Puska spends time talking with executive members Dean Bliss and Shane Turcotte from the Northern Ontario Walleye Trail. The three will discuss the 2025 season that will feature six tournament events across northern and northeastern Ontario. What changes are ahead for the coming season and more about what is helping to grow the trail in popularity with anglers and fans. 

In this very special edition of The Sports Hub Network, host Denis J. Puska visits with JP Marineau and Patrice Beauparlant who went on quite an adventure in February. The two friends cross-country skied, snowshoed and walked from Fort Albany on the James Bay Coast all the way back to their hometown of Hearst Ontario. They did this to raise money for the youth camp Camp Source De Vie. They will share their experiences of the trip, both good and bad and how they are passing this along to the students.

Puska spends time with Kapuskasing Ontario Canada native Bryan Hince to talk about his hockey journey from his small town in Northern Ontario to Junior B Hockey in St. Marys to NCAA Division III at Plattsburgh State University to a professional career that led him to the Southern Professional Hockey League and Knoxville, Tennessee. He was recently induced into the Ice Bears Wall of Honour. 

Host Denis J. Puska has a special look at the history of the Hearst Lumberkings organization that is celebrating 75 years. It includes an interview with hockey historian Al Jansson as well as longtime hockey player Yves Brunelle. There will also be excerpts of a ceremony put on by the Hearst Lumberjacks of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League recently courtesy of Flo Hockey. 

Host Denis J . Puska spends time with some members of the Kapuskasing Flyers to discuss the club's recent trip to the James Bay Coast to Moosonee and Moose Factory. The Flyers went along with the Timmins Majors to teach hockey clinics, learn more about the way of life up north and to play two Great North U18 Hockey League games. Guests are Head Coach Alex Plamondon, players Theo Bourdon-Lemoyne, Fynn Manttari and Nico Lessard.   

Host Denis J. Puska is interviewed by long time northeastern Ontario broadcast journalist Bob McIntyre to discuss some of Puska's hockey memories from his first hockey broadcast at the age of 14, to bus rides and various experiences in minor pro hockey and junior hockey in the southern United States. Puska has been calling hockey games for over 40 years including over 700 games in Texas. This is part I of a two part series.  

Host Denis J. Puska spends time with Joe Dominey who will be one of 25 amateur cyclists taking part in The Tour 21 -and the grueling challenge of riding the full Tour de France route, one week ahead of the professionals in June of this year (2025). The team will follow the same route as the professionals and raise over one million dollars for Cure Leukemia, the officla charity partner of the Tour de France. 

Join host Denis J. Puska as he spends time with Mylene Coloumbe-Gratton the owner and operator of Follow Her North a Tourism business based in Hearst Ontario. Follow her North offer summer and winter tourism including snowmobile trips to the James Bay Coast. Mylene is a young business person who has taken her tourism business to another level. In the interview, she shares her passion of what she does and how she got started. There is also at an update on the Elliot Lake Arena issue and how reopening plans have been delayed again. 

Host Denis J. Puska spends time with Robert Morris University Head Coach Derek Schooley to get his reaction to the NCAA announcing that Canadian Hockey League players will now be eligible to play at US Universities where they were not allowed previously. The new ruling could change the hockey landscape in the future. 

Join host Denis J. Puska for a special inside junior hockey edition of the Sports Hub Network. Puska looks at all of the changes in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League this year and how it's working with the teams and the standings. He also has two special guests that started in the NOJHL but have gone onto bigger and better things. Noah Tegelaar played for the Blind River Beavers but now suits up for the Collingwood Blues in the OJHL, while Brant Romaniuk started with the Timmins Rock and now plays for the Gatineau Olympiques in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

He and his wife Sam have started Strongman Corporation Canada as a way to give back to the sport. Denis Puska spends time with long time Timmins hockey coach and member of the Timmins Sports Heritage Hall of Fame Committee Mike Mulryan to talk about a new statue of the late Father Les Costello that was unveiled at the McIntyre Arena in Schumacher. Puska also talks about the NOJHL season wrapping up with a new champion crowned the Greater Sudbury Cubs and has a tribute to long hockey voice of Hockey Night in Canada Bob Cole. 

We visit once again with Steve Antunes the manager of economic development for the City of Elliot Lake to discuss what has happened since the city was awarded Kraft Hockeyville 2024 at the end of March. He talks about the ambitious fundraising campaign for local residents as they try to help the city offset the costs of reconstructing Centennial Arena. There is also new information on the arena and what has happened since the interview, plus we discuss new arena projects for Timmins and Sudbury. 

Host Denis J. Puska discusses more about the move by the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City Utah. He also begins Puska The Prognosticator as he gives his thoughts and predictions of Round One of the National Hockey League Stanley Cup Playoffs and who he sees moving on.

A story that captivated Canadians during the 1980s. There's also a news and notes segment on the Arizona Coyotes of the NHL and the new ownership of the Grand Slam of Curling.

On Episode 10 of The Sports Hub Network, host Denis J. Puska visits with Canadian and world ladies curling champion Heather Houston. She recently had the Northern Ontario Ladies title named after her. She is a Canadian Hall of Fame Curler. She talks about the award bestowed on her, the sport of curling and where it is headed in the future. 

On Epsiode 9 of our show we present a preview of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League's post season that gets underway later on this week. Eight teams all after a championship and a trip to the Nationals and the Centennial Cup. Plus our guest is Trevor Bonoh the skip of Team Northern Ontario to talk about their success at the recently completed Montana's Brier the Canadian Men's Curling Championship in Regina Saskatchewan. He will talk about the experience at the Brier and working with Al Hackner and his friendship with the curling great. 

This Episode is all about the city of Elliot Lake's bid to win Kraft Hockeyville 2024. The city's arena Centennial Arena has been shutdown since September forcing hockey teams, figure skaters to play in neighbouring communities. We hear from Steve Antunes Manager of Economic Development with the City of Elliot Lake and Jef Jarmovitch from the Elliot Lake Vikings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League. 

On Episode 7 of The Sports Hub Network, host Denis J. Puska spends time with Indoor Football League Commissioner Todd Tryon to discuss his journey from player to business partner, to owner to now commissioner. Plus we will dive into the IFL then and now and the future. The IFL boasts 16 teams across the USA in 2024 and expands to 18 in 2025. 

Episode 6 features an interview with Robin Yates, the co-founder and vice-president of Nobis, a Toronto based outerwear company. We talked about his involvement with the recent NHL All-Star game in Toronto, working with NHLPA and the NHL Alumni and about the company Nobis. 

The Sports Hub Network catches up with Canadian Junior Hockey League Chairman of the Board Robert Mazzuca to talk more about what recently took place with the Alberta Junior Hockey League and the BCHL and what lies ahead for Junior Hockey in Canada.

Bobby Ray from Curling Canada joins The Sports Hub Network to talk about the sport of curling in Canada. How the numbers are doing, and does the tv exposure and sellout crowds in the stands help to grow the sport.

Join host Denis J. Puska as he visits with Kyle Thaller a university student who has started Row-4-Life an organization dedicated to help others and to get a South Sudan rowing team in the Summer Olympics. Kyle is a remarkable young man with many other great organizations that he is involved with. We also hear from Adam Boucher from the Scotty and Devo Charity Hockey Tournament in Iroquois Falls Ontario.
