The foundation of being a "Strategic Hippie" is releasing grind culture. (It’s trash) Closing out 2023, Julia and Mickey met a crossroad in keeping up with The Strategic Hippie Show and a mutual call for rest and reflection. Cutting checks that can’t be cashed? Pew. That’s what happens when we show up in ego v. authenticity. Examples may look like… People-pleasing. Overpromising and under-delivering. Saying “yes,” when you want to say, “no.” Basically embellishing yourself for another’s validation. We’ve been down that road one way or another, and can tell you it truly leads down the highway to nowhere. In this episode Julia and Mickey discuss minimalism and get to the root of our “need” to acquire things. And how we can meet our needs by traveling on “The Path of Least Resistance.” The conversation takes an interesting turn though when we learn, minimalism is reserved for “rich white guys.” Too bad we’re neither, so now what?
