Why You Can't Leave That Relationship

You're trapped because you're mimicking being trapped as a child with no choice or voice. You won't leave no matter how many times you leave; you'll go back. If you have freedom as a option you have no idea what you would do with it or how to navigate it. It's the prisoner who's been behind bars for 20 years and has no reference for being free.

What If Perfectionism & Overperforming Are Actually Shame?

Shame will tell you - dictate to you - that you must do everything flawlessly. If you don't, shame tells you, you're a failure. And shame like this is often tied to tremendous ridicule, judgment, criticism, micro expressions, nonverbal cues, that all say "You aren't enough." This gets etched into you then you take over, trying to satisfy shame with compensation. It will *never* work. You must get into the roots of shame and transmute that cycle.

What If The 5 Love Languages Aren't Enough?

The 5 Love Languages help people talk about how they like to give and receive affection, but it's not enough. In this episode, I introduce Anchored in Safety™, a relationship framework that asks not how love is expressed, but love that is safe to receive. I explain why love languages focus on preference rather than nervous system security, and why gestures and behavior can’t repair betrayal, inconsistency, or attachment rupture. We’ll walk through the Six Safety Anchors™ - Reassurance Safety, Emotional Presence Safety, Conflict and Repair Safety, Autonomy Safety, Vulnerability Protection Safety, and Support Safety - and how each creates the conditions for connection beyond the 5 Love Languages.

What If Their Comfort Matters More Than Your Safety?

Not being believed doesn’t mean your story is unclear, it usually means someone is in denial. In this episode, I break down the psychology behind denial: why people protect their comfort instead of your reality, why families collapse around the truth instead of holding it, and why disbelief reenacts the original betrayal stored in your nervous system. We’ll go into cognitive dissonance, trauma disclosure patterns, institutional betrayal, and the way childhood environments teach survivors to doubt themselves. I’ll also share ways to steady yourself when you’re met with denial without overexplaining, defending, or collapsing your truth to make others comfortable. If you’ve ever felt the betrayal of telling the truth and watching someone choose disbelief, this episode will help you understand and move into holding the truth no matter what.

What If Your Fear of Speaking Up Isn't Insecurity?

In this episode, Julie Wallach, The Survivor Coach™ breaks down why speaking up can feel terrifying even when you want to. It isn’t insecurity; it’s the body remembering what happened the first time you had a need and were met with punishment, dismissal, or harm. Piled onto that very common experience might be sexual assault, where this feeling is magnified exponentially. Julie delves into the psychology underneath that reaction and gives tolerable, realistic steps you can use to separate your voice from the danger it was once tied to.

The Survivor Coach™ - Surviving Sexual Assault - Intro, Ep 1

This episode is a brief introduction to my story and why I’m doing this work. I talk about surviving sexual assault by my father and later by a doctor, and what it meant to speak out publicly against both of them. These experiences shaped how I see the aftermath of trauma and the reality survivors face when they try to function, rebuild, and be believed. This podcast is where I bring that lived experience together with the practical support I give survivors today. Each episode focuses on clarity, stability, and what to do when your mind and body feel overloaded. I offer direct, grounded guidance for anyone trying to navigate life after sexual assault and to contribute to the work of ending abuse.
