Under the auspices of the 2nd & 6 Foundation, the 1996 Ohio State Rose Bowl championship team was gathered by Ryan Miller to reminisce this week at Wedgewood Country Club. It's been 30 years - or as one of the players put it, "a blink of an eye" - since their dominant Big Ten title season, marred only by a 13-9 loss to Michigan. But they rallied to upset No.2 Arizona State in the Rose Bowl and themselves finish No.2 in the final polls. We reminisce with them.

RJ has blossomed as a Power 4 prospect for the 2027 class headed into his senior season. We also talk with Brad Maendler, founder of QB Excelerate, who has helped RJ's development immensely, as well as that of other young QBs. Great conversations, especially when we ventured outside the pocket.

The Washington Commanders took Sonny Styles with the No. 7 overall pick of the 2026 NFL draft. His older brother, Lorenzo Styles Jr., was taken in the fifth round by the New Orleans Saints. Dad Lorenzo, former Ohio State star linebacker and Super Bowl champion, along with mom Laverna, were in the wings in Pittsburgh. They have provided the impetus, guidance and support for the Styles phenomenon for two decades. Lorenzo Sr., now an assistant coach for Eddie George at Bowling Green, joined Clay and Tim to speak on it all. Great conversation!

Carnell Tate became the surprise first NFL Draft pick from Ohio State when the Jets passed on Arvell Reese, but the Giants did not, and by NFL draft pick 11, which was the Cowboys trading up to wrangle safety Caleb Downs, four Buckeyes had gone, including Sonny Styles to the Commanders. Dillon Davis and Tim chop that up. Plus Ryan Day speaks on the great night for his Buckeyes, but then he talks about the growing reach of the Nina and Ryan Day Foundation, focused on mental health issues and help for young people. The cause is so righteous.

Ohio State expects to see four players taken in the top half of the first round of the 2026 NFL draft, possibly in the top 10. His former Ohio State teammate Ryan Miller isn't overly surprised, though it takes a little luck along the way to get there, too. But Miller joins Tim to talk about what he could see coming from Vrabel way back when they were teammates at OSU in the mid-90s, when those John Cooper recruiting classes and teams buoyed the Buckeyes back to prominence. And Miller, Vrabel and Luke Fickell had such a bond that in 1999 they founded the Second and Seven Foundation, whose primary focus was the promotion of reading aloud to second graders and providing them with books, and which has grown to national impact through these last three decades, with all three still very much involved.
