Why Am I Trying To Be Perfect?
This episode definitely falls into the category of "a challenge I am currently facing," because recently, I have been consumed with trying to be perfect in EVERYTHING that I do. Perfectionism is something I have always strived for, and sometimes it feels like the way I am moulded. Yet, realistically, it is unattainable. So, why do I keep striving for it? During this episode, I explore that question and more as I unpack why I am trying to be perfect, whether it is serving me, and how I think I could start changing my perspective. Lessons We Can Learn From Mortality
Death is inevitable, but have you considered how liberating that can be? During this episode, I share how I used to fear death, how I am trying to change my perspective on mortality and how to stay present so that we don't take life for granted. Also, a quick disclaimer that I have tried to discuss the topic of mortality sensitively. However, I am talking about death quite heavily in this episode, so if you have recently experienced bereavement, this may not be the episode for you.Join me every week as I share how I am training myself to navigate life. Just Some Thoughts
Wow! Episode 10 of The Training Tom Podcast. As this is the 10th episode, I decided to do something different! I am going to be sharing some thoughts from the notes I make on my phone. To give some context, when I listen to a podcast and find something interesting or if I want to get some thoughts out of my head, I will often make a note on my phone. These notes accumulate over the days, weeks and months. For today's episode, I wanted to accumulate some of these notes together and reflect on what I had typed. I found it interesting to revisit these notes and interpret them through reflection.Join me every week as I share how I am training myself to navigate life. You Are Exactly Where You Need To Be
This episode is a reminder to myself, and possibly a reminder to you. I often compare my life to other people's and what I see of other people's lives on social media. It might not feel like we are in the right place, but in this episode, I hope to explain why you are exactly where you need to be.Join me every week as I share how I am training myself to navigate life.
