What are your thoughts on marriages ending after 25 years? Don’t be afraid to compromise. Just make sure the price doesn’t cost you losing yourself along the way. 🌴Do you post your partner on social media? Why or why not? I feel it’s important to have the conversation w/ your partner FIRST. We don’t take a lot of time in the dating phase, and it causes problems later on. Most are afraid to ask those tough questions. A lot of people just like to lie. Say what the other person wants, or do what you think will please them. In the end the relationship crumbles because you never had those simple conversations about social media. NOW, it’s a big argument because someone doesn’t feel posted enough, or the other person really isn’t on social media at all. Then we are disappointed in our partner. I don’t know about y’all, but I feel like most of us grew up the same 🤣. Most black parents didn’t play that. Things were kept separate back in the day. So much so, now it is hard for our parents to truly embrace us as adults. That transition period has been missed by 10 years I feel like. You SHOULD want to be friend with your kids to a certain extent. You SHOULD want to know if they are drinking, using drugs, or having sex. It’s just interesting looking at it now. It’s weird really thinking that as we grow, more and more situations like this will happen. I can still be respectful toward my parents, while also creating healthy boundaries for myself. #TheTruthTree #LetsTalkAboutIt
