William Bradford Bishop, Jr. On March 2, 1976 a brush fire has caught the attention of a fire tower in Tyrell county, North Carolina. Now there is a burn ban in effect at this time, which leads Ranger Ronald Brickhouse to rush over to what has quickly become a 3 acre brush fire. Instead what he uncovers is a 6 foot long by 3 foot wide pit containing two smoldering bodies.
