My father sat me down, handed me a blank page, and told me it was time to learn how to draw. I remember being excited, imagining all the complex images I’d soon be able to create. But for a week, all he had do was draw lines. Just straight, parallel 30° lines until I didn't make any mistakes. I didn’t understand it then, but those lines were the foundation on which my technical & artistic skills are built. This podcast is built on that same foundation; it’s about taking simple lines and connecting them in ways that bring ideas to life. The complex images are a product of simple lines.

    Stillness is a Practice

Robert Jenkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a therapist, and one of the most intentionally self-aware people I've met. Before he helps anyone else do the work, he does it himself, rigorously. From meditation, silent retreats, breath-work, and a strong commitment to physical training, this man has a genuine commitment to stretching himself in ways most people would never dare to even try.He introduced me to the power of breathing, not as a wellness trend, but as a foundational tool for how I show up in the world. Our conversations changed something within me, and this episode is an extension of it.Rob has a way of making you feel seen and challenged at the same time. He's often caught me by surprise; he might catch you too...Enjoy.

Technically, it's Not Always So Technical...

Dee Sethmajhi is the Co-Founder & CTO of The Stability App, a longtime Senior Technical Program Manager at Oracle, and a current Wharton Executive MBA. One thing that her impressive accolades may not directly point out is that Dee is such a passionate, empathetic, and supportive person, and I'm so privileged to call her my friend.Today, we dive into the not-so-technical parts of her career that have fed into the technical demands of her day-to-day life.Dee's been building tech at scale for a number of years now, and she's currently building a mental wellness platform from the ground up. So, she has a pretty unique view on why the "non-technical" parts of life end up doing a lot of the heavy lifting in technical careers.Enjoy.

    I Don't Want It. I Need It.

Do you really know what you want?Your answer to this question may change over time, especially when you stop and ask yourself why you want what you want, and what it really means to want something. It may not seem that obvious, but Tadiwa is my older brother. Enjoy.
