Truck Festival have possibly pulled the line up of the year for 2026.3 of my literal favourite bands of all time will be performing in that field in Oxfordshire and I can't wait to return to Truck with my friends and have a lovely, lovely time. Episode 50 feels like a monumental occasion and it just so happens I've got a monumental guest to mark the big 5.0.  From Irish Post- Punk noise makers Sprints, it's Sam Mcann!We recorded this episode just before show time at a landmark gig for the band at London's Troxy. The iconic venue was awash that evening in a wave of screaming guitars and cathartic chorus'. I have Oasis'd!When Propstore held the world's larger ever Oasis memorabilia auction at The Cumberland Hotel, Kyle and Tony were in town to take part in a Q&A happening ahead of the items going under the hammer.I'm a man of opportunity and was lucky enough to grab twenty minutes with the two of them to discuss all things from Boardwalk 94 to Live 25.Tony shared some great stories of his first drum kit purchase, the biggest compliment he's ever had for his drumming and the mad time he first met fellow Oasis drummer Zak Starkey.It's a break from the normal format and a bit shotter then normal, but it's a VERY fun one.Enjoy!

Well this is basically what this podcast nonsense has all been leading up to....Do I really need to introduce Felix White....?Amongst the MANY things that Felix does, he is in one of the very best bands to ever do it , The Maccabees. Getting to spend 60 minutes talking to a man who has had such a big impact on my life was a dream come true.Sure, a large part of this episode was me talking "at" Felix and telling him about the numerous times I've cried my eyes out at the countless Maccabees shows I've been to over the last 20 years. But we also talk Red Button anxieties, playing Latchmere when you're 50 and Oasis (naturally). Felix's album of choice is an underdog album from Sunderland's finest - The Futureheads. We have so much fun deep diving the often overlooked record that he so rightly champions.Felix is set to release his second book, Whatever Will Be Will Be - A Matter of Life and Football will be released on the 30th of October. Something a little different today....It's been a glorious summer and watching stadiums full of Oasis fans in my social media feed has been an absolute joy to behold. On so many occassions, there's been fans (mostly men) crying their eyes out at these shows. Me included!So on this episode I wrote a few words asking why Oasis so often have me and so many other people crying their eyes out. There's a few contributions from listeners , but it's mostly a solo episode.I'm really proud of this change from the normal format and would love to know what you all think of it. But not one of them has the cultural heft of today's guest's truly massive comeback.In the mid 00's David Chanell took a Hertfordshire town and injected heavy levels of indie to a place that was dangerously negelected in skinny jean wearers.With his clubnight (and indeed his band!) back to business this Autumn, it only felt right to get David on the pod to hear about how his band, The Fullertons, went from playing Walkabout in Watford to playing shows in Moscow.He picked an almighty riff machine of an album and in this episode, we talk about finding your tribe in independent music venues (shout out to Trinity!),having big hair and questionable scarf wearing.If you're not a fan of the cigarette smoking Southern riff merchants, then at least listen for my truly absurd intro to this incredible album, where I imagine a world in which the fourth Kings of Leon album didn't exist...Enjoy irresponsibly.

Hot on the trail of Glastonbury, I've just had one of the biggest weekends of MY LIFE!On Friday night I got to witness LCD Soundsystem turn Brixton into a joyous sweaty mess.Then on Sunday, it was the come back of the year (I definitley can't think of any other come backs this year....) it was The Maccabees in Berlin!It was such a joyous couple of days, I couldn't not mention it on the podcast. The boys are back in town.... After realising what a truly awful experience Glastonbury 2011 was, we figured we absolutely have to find some positivity.
