episode 12: calling out my own toxicity
Hello beautiful people. Calling myself out quite a bit in today’s episode all about acknowledging one’s toxic traits. As I’ve been in a more exploratory space and getting to understand more of the root of why and how I am the way I am, I’ve learned that it can be quite useful to be able to not just recognize a change within that is needed, but acknowledge it, own it, and fully comprehend it so that a course of action can be made to produce a more preferred outcome. This has neuroscience written all over it. I hope this episode inspires you to take a deeper look within and own your shii! This is a public episode. episode 11: "fair weather" friendships
Episode 11: "fair weather" friendshipsMaking new friends as an adult is HARD. Maintaining friendships is even harder. But is it fair to categorize people as “fair weather” friends, or are we all just busy with our own lives/living through different seasons? I started noticing that the friendships around me started changing, and no hate or bashing towards that, just a noticeable change. When it comes to friendships, especially as an adult, how much time do you actually spend nurturing them? And when do you just choose to let go? If you find yourself relating, tune into today’s episode. This is a public episode. episode 10: the right teacher makes a difference
Episode 10: the right teacher makes a difference (booked my first private dance session)Man oh man, I love learning. I think there is something about having the brain just tingle that sets a spark of momentum for everything else in my life. Hi, hello, I’m Tina and a nerd at heart hoho. When it comes to something I like (and for whatever reason, I tend to choose challenging things or more challenging niches within a certain category), it really gets my brain turning.I booked my first dance private (and while I am just a hobbyist with dance), and it was a lot of fun. I’m so appreciative of a good, thorough push and left with so much to apply to my own practice. I was reminded that paying for proximity and experience from the right person/people really can make all the difference. This episode is a bit more rough, but heyyyy, enjoy! This is a public episode. episode 9: so this is success (and happiness)...I ain't mad about it
Episode 9: so this is success (and happiness) and I ain't mad about itFelt inspired to come on and riff a little bit on what is actual success? Though I don’t meet the measurement of a traditional standard, I very much am at peace with myself and overall love my life. Is that selfish or self-love? Materialistic objects and accolades missing, but is that not successful in its own right?I wanted to record this as a reminder of what really matters and how to go after what it is you truly want. There is tremendous value in feeding yourself a positive narrative and believing it to be true (doubts and all). Yeahhh…also, I share a career path that honestly, I still can see happening some way. If ya know me, what do you think? We shall see. Tune in for more. This is a public episode. Episode 8: it's called women's intuition for a reason
Episode 8: it's called women's intuition for a reasonOh boy, lemme just say: as women, we know. And when I say, “we know”, I mean, we almost are always correct on picking up on something that’s trying to remain hidden. My last episode explored a little bit about my history with cheating, and some of you resonated with that, so this is a natural extension into the topic of women’s intuition. Yup, it’s real. We’ve got it. We feel it. We know it. Trust it, ladies. What happens when we actually do? My personal thoughts and experience inside for more… This is a public episode. Episode 6: what would happen if we all believed in ourselves a bit more?
Episode 6: what would happen if we all believed in ourselves more? What would happen if we all believed in ourselves a little bit more? I've realized that self-confidence and showing up for oneself is a muscle to be exercised. The mind-body connection from a very cellular level to how it affects the overall body, to that energy being poured out then reflects on the reality being shown back to us. And man oh man, if we are to live happy, fulfilling lives where we truly love ourselves and show up authentically to the world, wouldn't it make sense to do so with as much confidence and self-belief as possible? Wouldn't the outcome be so much better? I think so!PS Thanks for listening :) This is a public episode. Episode 5: the infinite argument of money vs. passion
Episode 5: the infinite argument of money vs. passionMaking a living based off what you love to do….if only it were that simple! The argument of money vs. passion is one I know first-hand very well. I don’t want to say that most artists struggle before ever “making it”, but it often times tends to roll that way. And on a practical level, how does one know when the passion simply is just that? Is it possible to not be motivated by money at all? These are questions I’ve had to answer for myself when I decided to go all in on my own creative pursuit. And as much as I’ve grown through that journey, I’d be lying if I said it was easier. Money vs. passion, where do you stand? Listen for more. This is a public episode. Episode 4: you're into doing the inner work but what does that even mean?
In this episode, I dive into what doing the “inner work” really means, based on personal experience and how beneficial it has truly been to my own life. The act of being present and mindful of feelings is an underrated tool to live with a more positive and impactful outcome. I have seen this firsthand in others whom are extremely emotionally intelligent and regulated, and in the progress I’ve made for myself ever since really putting in the muscle to do inner work consistently. If you relate at all, super cool beans. And if you’d like some resources on books/podcast that I’ve read/listened which have supplemented my own personal inner work journey, I’m happy to recommend them (listed below). Episode 3: this is for you if you never feel like you're enough
In this episode, I dive into recognizing the core wound of feeling not enough and how to break the pattern of reacting and living life according to its triggers. Being on a journey of self-awareness has meant dealing with these buried feelings I’ve had since I was a kid, and trying to understand how to not just address the wound, but show love to myself even when the wound or inner critic shows up. Learning to dismantle what this core wound of not feeling enough really is, and taking responsibility to recognize it and choose to make an actual change by doing inner work. The power and choice is within all of us.*disclaimer: I am not a licensed professional on this matter; my thoughts on the subject matter are based on my own individual studies and application of inner child work, positive pyschology, and neuroscience. Episode 2: this is for you if you're going through a career change...
In this episode, how does one even begin to start a new career after being known for something else in a different industry? Does it always have to be about choosing the “safe” option? As a mom especially, the luxury of time and choices is not always available. As I am currently going through a career change, it forced me to really ask myself what is most important in life, what is important in the work I do, and what am I actually good at? These simple prompts may seem elementary to ask, but how many of us actually feel fulfilled by our careers? Does this have to stop just because we’ve added “Mama” to our title? I did A LOT of digging and searching to try and find even the smallest semblance of something I would enjoy; I also realized that pouring everything into a “pipe dream” the way I used to back in my 20’s is not something I was willing to risk anymore. Finding the balance of stability aka financial security, with a natural curiosity and excitement for the work to be done, is easier said than done. Dive on into this episode to learn more.
