Thrill Time

Splash Mountain is closing permanently at Walt Disney World after today January 22, 2023. A log flume ride that was beloved by fans is being closed forever to be rethemed into Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Splash Mountain was one of my favorite dark rides and I'm genuinely sad that it is closing. I wish that it would stay open but there's nothing I can do about it. The ride featured the characters Brer Rabbit, Brer Fox, and Brer Bear in comical ways with a scary climax leading to the signature final drop that guests saw as they walked by the attraction. These are my memories and thoughts about Splash Mountain on this historic day in Disney Parks history.    What was your favorite scene or memory from riding Splash Mountain? These are my experiences and thoughts from going to DCA when I was in elementary school and what I think about the changes that have been made to DCA since then. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been loved by family's since it was built in 1979 at Disneyland. Many other coasters have come and gone since then, so why has this roller coaster been so successful? Universal announced that they are building a new theme park in Frisco, Texas. Will it be successful though?
