To the Wind
by Mariaria
An honest and sometimes messy account of Maria's attempt to live life extremely On Purpose. To throw everything “To the Wind”, including herself, and see where it all lands. To extend herself beyond what is considered the “norm” and see what truly excites her, and what she really wants her life to look like. The podcast starts with her giving up most of her early possessions and booking a one-way ticket to Europe, to see where she would go if she had nowhere to go back to. But, travel isn't where this ends. It seems like the more she lets go, the more magic she uncovers.

Episode 20: A Surprisingly Magical Residency
Who knew that while I was learning to be a Medium, I'd wind up at a haunted Artist Residency? In this Episode, I talk about my experience at the Artist Residency in Toronto, and how it ends up being WAY more magical and spooky and witchy than I would have dared to expect. The Universe REALLY knows how to deliver when you give it a chance to deliver.

Episode 19: A New Adventure
...Oh my God now every time I see the title to my own podcast "to the wind..." I immediately think "...dow TO THE WALL! 'TILL THE SWEAT DRIPS DOWN MY *BLEEP*"Anyway. In this episode, Maria talks about the progress she's made in her little Siesta from Life. Turns out, it’s time to dig her heels in a little and start putting down roots, not in a certain PLACE, but in the “new” creative career that is unfolding for her. In order to live a life where she can have the flexibility to travel, she's going to need to get in touch with her artistic side again. Not exactly the most traditionally lucrative route, but hey, this is where the Power of the Universe comes in, right? Where there's a will, there's a way!

Episode 18: Learning to Let Go Even More Than I've Already Let Go...
In this episode, Maria talks about coming to a point where she needs to let go of assumptions and really listen to that voice within her telling her what she wants RIGHT NOW. Not what she wanted 5 months ago, or a year ago, but right now. You might be thinking, “LOL how hard could that possibly be?” but for Maria the answer is “well…it took me like 3 months to get here so, I guess kinda tricksy?”The instinct to hold onto things because it makes the most logical sense, and because we enjoyed it last time, is strong. But as she’s discovering, not always the right move. Which is why she’s here, in the In-Between, and not gorging herself on pastries in Nice or skipping around in the Highlands in Scotland.

Episode 17: The magical reason we get to put ourselves first, according to my Spirit Guides
See, this is why the In-Between is actually pretty rad. So much cool stuff has been coming through in my meditations that’s not only helpful for where I’m at right now, but will help keep my chill in all the In-Betweens to come. ‘Cause let’s be real…there shall be more. The main message, is that because we are all part of one consciousness, when we connect to our truth and do what is truly in alignment with our highest good, it is also the highest good of all involved. Which is a relief, because who doesn’t want to do EXACTLY what they want to do, and get away with it? I sure do.I also received further guidance around the importance of finding your joy, and enjoyment, in the here and now even if you have really cool goals and manifestations for the future. We always get to have the best time we can possibly have in our current circumstances, and that enjoyment puts us in the right headspace (and heartspace) to move forward in ways that are best for us, and get us to where we desire to go.

Episode 16: Creating the Foundations of a Life that Can Constantly Evolve
Maria talks about gaining a deeper understanding of WHY she is in the “in-between” right now, instead of soaking up the sun on a beautiful beach in Portugal or sipping wine in front of the Eiffel tower. Turns out, when an atom bomb gets unceremoniously dropped on your life, you gotta spend some time cleaning up before you can build a shiny new city on Ground Zero. “Spend some time cleaning up” as in clear out every last chunk of charred ruin, right down to the foundations of the old buildings, and have a nice, open, level ground to work on. AND THEN, have a detailed schematic of what you want your new city to look like before you start building. WELL OK THEN. Make me do the work, why dontcha?

Episode 15: The Beginnings of the In-Between
In this episode, I talk about the internal work I'm doing to receive guidance on how to move forward, and to where. I call this period the "in-between" because it feels like a very intentional "pause" where you get to sit with yourself and ensure that you're aligned with what you actually want. Also, it's an important "check-in" to release any fears that inevitably come up when you start to realize what you want might not be the most conventional thing in the world.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to jump on the ol' horn (and also test out my dads fancy recording equipment) to talk about my last two days in Ireland because they sure were eventful, hahaha. I also talk about my decision to move on to another country, how I bested the northern Scottish weather, and what other big decisions are looming before me. Cliffhanger!!P.S. Episode 7: Final Days in France, Journey to Scotland, and Overcoming Anxiety with Moving Forward and Making Myself Available to Others
In this episode, I talk about my time in Lyon and Annecy, the final two stops in France before heading off to Edinburgh, Scotland. Throughout this time, the major sources of anxiety that came up for me were: Learning to trust that I'm always given what I need by the universe; letting go of expectations for myself and my interactions with other people; AND, realizing that the universe isn't putting expectations on ME. Working through all that allowed me to have some incredible 'miracle' moments that were very validating in feeling safe and supported on this journey.

Episode 6: Nice, France and Trusting My Decisions Over Anxiety
In this episode, I briefly talk about my time in Nice, France, and delve into all the amazing evidence that I am -that WE are- safe in the decisions we make, and trusting our feelings, even if we don't fully understand why we make them. If we follow through and let the decisions fully unfold, we will see why they happened and we'll always make the best of our situations.Also...shoutout to my friend Kasey for encouraging me to record this episode, haha. Sometimes I get really hung up on what I want to say.

Episode 1 -How it All Started
In this episode, I summarize what happened in my life that lead to my decision to "throw myself to the wind" and see where it took me. To let go of my career -at least for now- most of my possessions, and travel the way I always wanted to. To let life take care of me, and assume everything was going to work out, instead of letting fear tell me I couldn't do it. To fully embrace the intense discomfort of tossing myself out of my comfort zone, and doing all the things my anxiety always told me I wasn't safe to do.Thanks for being here, and I really hope you enjoy my story!
