    Lauren Lainson is a much loved Tribe Founding member. She’s the beautiful image on our Taren Point wall and there’s not many who haven’t seen her gorgeous smile. In this episode, Loz dives into life, the challenges, the juggle, the raw emotions and the wins. Loz recently lost her Dad and amongst the sadness, she still managed to smash out her marathon goals and keep moving forward. Loz talks about her beautiful husband, Nick and their 4 kids, the life they have created and the IVF journey they went on to have the kids. She has an energy for life that is contagious and you’ll want to run a marathon too after listening to this episode of Tribe Talk!

Shane has been successful in business with a career in accounting & finance, becoming a CFO at the age of just 30. If you’ve met him you’ll know he’s deeply interested in people, he is professional, humble, honest and gives a raw account of life’s journeys. He talks about the parallels between work and sport. How he has handled stress along the way with exercise & a devotion to family. Shane credits Tribe as a massive part of his life and a safe haven. A place where he has met great people and it’s been about so much more than just fitness. This is a great listen, very raw and insightful.

He talks about the importance of goal setting and the power of our mental state. He is passionate about the power of data and accountability for fat loss. Also working on the body and the mind to achieve great things. He has kicked massive fitness goals himself and credits coaches he had along the way to his success. The power of coaching and being coached. “Feel fear and run at it!” This is a must listen.

    Listen to loved, long time Triber, Aimee Rigas. Aimee’s journey is a touching story of resilience, strength, courage and appreciation of the small things in life. Aimee talks about growing up in Western Sydney, moving to the Shire, her career in the media and loving what she does! She talks through the emotional rollercoaster of being diagnosed with breast cancer at only 33 years old and the journey that followed of treatment and recovery. Her story talks about the mental and physical challenges she faced and how it shaped her outlook on life. Aimee’s focus on her health and fitness throughout her treatment has made her an inspiration to many.

    Listen to Alana Lewis, or Lewi as she’s known to Tribers, talk about growing up doing competitive gymnastics, the challenges, hard work and sacrifice that came with this. This is a great story pf sacrifice and reward, and the lessons that she learnt through the training intensity and discipline. Lewi has strong family values and believes that her chosen career of Personal Training and helping people achieve their own goals is life changing for her. Lewi talks candidly about her mental health struggles along the way, the drive for perfection and coming out the other side.

    Listen to Mel Mullins and life beginning at 40! Mel is a hard working mum to a beautiful 8 year old daughter and her love for health and fitness has changed her life. Mel’s emotional journey through her younger years, talking about struggling to fit in to finding herself in her late 30’s and the self confidence that came with that.  Mel talks about what she wants for her daughter and the self respect that comes with belonging. Mel went from being nervous and apprehensive to walk through the Tribe doors, to losing 20kg and finding a new version of herself.

    Listen to Ryan Menzies, Tribe’s senior trainer and soon to be Group Exercise Manager at Tribe Kirrawee. Ryan talks all things life from growing up on the Gold Coast, his Rugby days, finding his chosen career, competing in a multitude of challenging events to becoming a father for the first time.  He touches on the life lessons he has learnt along the way, his love for family and his hopes for his daughter, Daisy. This is an insightful listen into the gruelling training and commitment it took to complete his first Ironman in Western Australia earlier this year and how hard work and internal drive makes him be the best version of himself. He lives and breathes his health and fitness, setting the example for his clients. Ryan’s love of fatherhood and the balancing act to still find time for his own training is a great listen.
