What’s the cheapest way to lose your mind? Everywhere, all the time, at once. I don’t know how to begin explaining David and Ferdinand. David’s an American and he was born in a Christian mission, at the moment of this recording he really had no clue where the hell he was or how he even got to BOOM, he was only wearing a pair of boxers and he didn’t even have his BOOM bracelet. It looked like somebody kicked him off an airplane. Ferdinand reminded me of Gimli from Lord of the Rings but with a psychedelic twist. The mescaline started hitting hard and then when we did some ketamine, I remembered I had a fully functional recorder that needed new batteries, after doing that, this happened. Just take a listen. “Fuuuuuck. I don’t know where I am. Can you tell me where I am? Fuck, holy shit, I am fucked. Where am I? Am I dead, am I alive? Is this reality? Holy shit, I’m fucked. Woahhh, woaaaowwwww!! Holy shit, I’ve lost my mind!” I got to find Asger and give him back his flute… maybe if I play it louder than the Dance Temple he will appear? Definitely one of my favorite moments in this process, and one of the most chaotic, yet sincere ones. What’s your fuel, and did you ever let it become your poison? Toder comes from Bulgaria, but where is he right now? Why didn’t I ask for his social media? I have no clue! He gave me an Axolotl lighter and it’s my spirit animal, so I naturally became super excited and just decided to record our conversation next to the Alchemy Circle. Maybe that’s why I forgot to ask for his social media. The amazing DnB being played, his intelligence applied to matters like biology, history, sociology and agriculture. Maybe we’re the new species that’s supposed to combine the ethereal with the physical, go beyond time and matter, reach the true meaning of love, for ourself, others and the world. Be like water? Anyways, seriously, help me find Toder, somehow. The world needs it. Maybe even more than all the natural medicines we’re taking but maybe less than the need to break our routine. Inside a secret hobbit hole in the Sacred Fire I met Vishnu (@vishsolo) and we instantly connected through our best memories about Candy Flipping! We talk about Fusion and other festivals, Tristan, Avalon, Astrix, and more. He’s an outstanding party photographer and you should check out his work, somewhere in the middle came up another photographer João Maria Fortuna (@bao90) which is worth checking too. What would it be like if you could hug the whole world at once? TRIP.E_CAST is a non-apologetic podcast where there's no cuts, no jumps, just raw recording of people talking without taboos, pure Gonzo journalism. I met Carolina Baião (@carol.ina.baiao) on 20th of July and she was my ride for BOOM Festival, we met Asger (@where.spirit.meet.matter) hitchhiking at the line to the entry, it was his first time coming to Portugal and experiencing this collective event of wonder. This podcast was the first experiment and created a certain tone for what this project should be. Background music, no written topics or conversations, absolute strangers, whatever comes to mind is worthy of praise and attention.
