House of Wax
Hey, howaboutit!? It's a classic shlock film to close out Keenan's Horror Month. Ya got your on the nose plot, ya got your unheard of actors, ya got your Paris Hilton, ya got some classic practical gore effects, all your good shlock shit. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
44
The Hills Have Eyes 2
In this sequel to a remake that is not a remake of the original sequel, a young Keenan found great entertainment. They now share that with Derek, and you, dear listener. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
43
The Last House on the Left (2009)
A remake of old school b horror, this revenge flick is an ongoing part of Keenan's horror month. A fair warning, there is a pretty gnarly depiction of sexual assault in this movie, if that's not good for you, totally understandable, would be best to skip this one. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
42

35
Survival of the Dead
The last "of the Dead" film in legendary director George A. Romero's filmography, and it sure does exist. There's a lot of good things, a few bad things, and there's definitely some stuff to say about it. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
34
Diary of the Dead
Found footage, meta story, college kids, a drunk professor, a deaf Amish man, some military guys, it's all wrapped in a mediocre script and being eaten by zombies. Let's go! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
33
Land of the Dead
Starring John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper, this is the first 'of the Dead' of the 2000's. This movie brings us a post apocalyptic future society divided by class and ruled by a rich guy in a red tie. A turning point in the franchise, George A. Romero's Land of the Dead is a unique entry where the biggest threat to humanity isn't the zombies, it's other people. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
32
Day of the Dead
This is the good one, or, Keenan's favorite anyway. So expect a balanced, unbiased, review, obviously. Derek hadn't seen it before, so that's always fun. Day of the Dead is George A. Romero's third 'of the Dead' film, and while being very 80's, it is quite good, as well. Social commentary, interesting characters, gore and a young Greg Nicotero, hard to see anything wrong with this one! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
31
Dawn of the Dead
Alright, we know, this is the only one that's a remake, but hey, it's really good, and the bois struggled through all the Resident Evil films, just let them have this, alright? Directed by Zach Snider, written by George A. Romero and rewritten by James Gunn, this is not only the epitome of zombie movies from the bois's youths, it's also the epitome of an early 2000's action film. So many tropes, so many classic tropes. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
30
Night of the Living Dead
The first, the original, The Zombie Movie, Night of the Living Dead! George A. Romero's seminal original obviously doesn't belong on this feed, but it's part of the Residency of the Dead series we're doing for Halloween time! Just wait until the last couple "of the Dead" films if you want it real bad. Keenan and Derek had a good time with this one, they're sure you will, too! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
29
Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
Did I love the rest of these movies? For the most part, no. Was this an entirely different level of suck I was not ready for? Yes, yes it was. I still can't believe this is a real film, that really got made, and was really, actually, supposed to end a franchise a decade and a half in the making. No pretense, no faking, this one is so bad. Dr. Isaacs is back, Alice is there, and so is Alice, and Alice, too, not to mention some nameless folks who die, and then there's an easy solution. The end. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
28
Resident Evil: Retribution
Here's the thing, this movie is a film. Alice is in it, played by Milla Jovavich, it's written by Paul W.S. Anderson, also directed by him. Uh, there is a lot of exposition for a story I don't remember, but there's zombies, action, fighting, there's even some editing. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
27
Resident Evil: Afterlife
The fourth movie in a Paul WS Anderson's adaptation of the Resident Evil games, this is, well, this is a movie. There sure is a lot to be said about it, but how about just one quote: "Five or six times would be suicide!" Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
26
Resident Evil: Extinction
The third in Milla Jovovich's portrayal of Paul WS Anderson's Resident Evil's Alice. You like Mad Max? You like Day of the Dead? Combine those, knock a bunch of quality out of the scripts like you were beating them up drunk in a back alley, and you might have something resembling this film. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
25
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
The second in the legendary Paul WS Anderson's vision for Resident Evil. Apocalypse takes us into Raccoon City, shows us the STARS unit and has a Harley style motorcycle crash through a church's stained glass window. What more could you want? A cohesive story? GETOUTTAHERE. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
24
Resident Evil
Episode one in our Residency of the Dead series, the bois bring you the first of Paul WS Anderson's now classic, of course everyone loves them, film saga. Keenan loves this first Trilogy, Derek loves the video games, so they don't see eye to eye much on this one. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
23
The Lazarus Effect
This film is actually so bad, I forgot we watched it, or that I hadn't uploaded it. Enjoy! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
22
Dark Ride
One of the Eight Films to Die For in 2006, Keenan watched this in high school and has remembered it ever since, whereas Derek had never seen this one. With a couple of semi recognizable faces and kitschy slasher style plot, it sure is a film that might scare a couple people for a second. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
21
Good Movie: Akira
Welcome to the seminal anime/action/body horror/motorcycle flick that's inspired everything that has come after it. Keenan had never seen this one and Derek thought we should fix that. He was right! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
20
Tusk
In 2014 Kevin Smith blessed the Earth with this film. Very few noticed, and those who did, for the most part, did not understand. The bois are excited to talk about Tusk. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
19
Lords of Salem
Rob Zombie made some really good movies, and also this confusing, low budget thing. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
18
The Number 23
Jim Carrey is a pretty legendary kinda guy, good actor, weird presence in real life. Joel Schumacher, legendary homosexual, legendary director. They teamed up and made this, a pretty mediocre thriller. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
-
17
Cats: Part 3: The Movie: 2019: Director's Commentary: And Special Features
Alright, look, we all have things we're passionate about, Keenan and Derek make music, James Cameron loves a deep sea expedition, and, apparently, Tom Hooper loves Cats: The Musical. I mean, he really loves Cats: The musical, like, sooooo much. Da bois learned that, and you will too. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
