    Dr Evert Foyenka and her team at Access Health Initiative undertake daring missions to the most remote parts of war-torn Anglophone Cameroon where health systems have collapsed.In this episode of Two Cubes of Sour Sugar, the rural healthcare advocate talks transport, consultation, treatment, and life-saving surgery in places with no operating rooms.Dr Foyenka also runs through some of the most common conditions and diseases affecting women, kids, and men as they lose access to health education and basic support.

    Legacy of Waindim Timothy at North West Cooperative Association with Bakah Derick

    Founded in 1950 as a cooperative to assist coffee and cocoa farmers in the former British Southern Cameroons, the North West Cooperative Association (NWCA) has survived countless economic and political challenges in its 75-year history.Waindim Timothy led the Anglophone institution that serves over 35,000 coffee farmers from 2014 until his passing in November 2025.We look at his life and legacy in the very first recording of Two Cubes of Sour Sugar with Hilltop Voices publisher Bakah Derick.Bakah Derick also takes us into the structure and role of NWCA, some of the challenges it has faced in a federated and united Cameroon, and efforts to market its new coffee brands at home and abroad.
