Understanding Microbial Communities; Function, Structure and Dynamics

The importance of microbial communities for health, industry and the natural environment cannot be overstated. Despite this, there is an enormous gap between the levels of our empirical knowledge of microbial communities’ composition and experimental and theoretical understanding of their function, structure, and dynamics. Developing and advancing mathematical and computational approaches for the study of microbial communities has huge potentials for this field.
