The story begins with the CIO submitting rogue intelligence reports in 2010, which facilitated Joice Mujuru's removal as Vice President. Mnangagwa, the Minister of Defence, moved his pieces. First, he accelerated changes in the army by appointing Constantino Chiwenga as Commander—the man who later led a coup to elect Mnangagwa President. Later, he installed Isaac Moyo to change the face of the CIO. But now Isaac has been fired. The question is why.
