In this week's episode we unearth the truth about how our beef is raised with guest Dr. Ron Lemenager. Dr. Lemenager currently works in the beef industry as a professor at Purdue University where he teaches Beef management. He also works in extension and research for ruminant nutrition for Beef. In episode 2, we learn about the different types of beef cattle, what their diets are composed of, vaccinations, and animal handling. We also dive into misconceptions that we often make as consumers such as beef affecting climate change and antibiotics and hormones in beef.
