Tropic Gold: “how loud can we make it?”
This episode we meet Jake and Josh from Tropic Gold. They tell us all about The Barn, an “ethereal hole of time” and former bean sprout factory, which now serves as their creative hub in the quiet English countryside. No windows, no clocks, no heating, just a space to create. We also learn how childhood fascinations with Green Day, Meat Loaf, My Chemical Romance and Busted all influenced their formative musical journeys. Camden Barfly all-dayers, Facebook Messenger and Instagram Groups also have their part to play in the origins and development of the band. PLUS: we’re given insights into their song writing process - including a snippet of previously unreleased demo ‘Five’ - and revelations of hidden Easter eggs across their videos and music.
