What am I Bringing to This?

In our 4th episode, we sit with Michelle and her husband Jerry as they share what is to come. There is a very scary, uncertain moment before we become caregivers: the moment when we know it's coming, but have no idea what it will actually look like. Michelle knows she will have to take care of her mom, but to what degree is still a mystery. Listen to them explore some very brave awareness and share how their past experiences might show up in this new situation, as they deep dive into the prompt: What am I Bringing to this?Hosted on Ausha. Flying Blind

"Our third episode is truly special. We sit down with my dear friend Amy and her mother Tori, who open up about the particular anguish of navigating a serious illness — one with visible, debilitating symptoms and yet no diagnosis, no roadmap, no one to warn them how messy and demanding the journey ahead will be. They speak honestly about fear, sacrifice, and struggle, but also about the love and laughter that carries them through — all while flying blind."Hosted on Ausha. The Me Nobody Sees

In our second episode we meet Carla who lost her husband to Lewy Body Dementia. I met Carla in NY after watching Facing the Wind: Lewy Body Dementia Documentary in which she participated and inspired me to create this podcast. We also meet Sharon, Carla's best friend who gives us an overlooked perspective as the friend indirectly and yet directly impacted by watching people she loves struggle. This was a true lesson in support and the importance of showing up.Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.

I Understand but it Still Hurts

This first episode is personal. In 2022 my mother passed away from Lewy Body Dementia. I was her caregiver. My daughters Kiara, Lily and I chose the writing prompt "I Understand but it Still Hurts" and agreed to sit for 20 minutes and write. This episode is where we discover and explore the emotions our writing uncovered.Hosted on Ausha. See ausha.co/privacy-policy for more information.
