    Patsy Takemoto Mink was the first woman of color elected to the US House of Representatives, the first Asian-American woman to serve in Congress, and the first Asian-American to run for U.S President. She fought for her place in all aspects of her life, in school, in society, and in politics. She helped write many bills like Title IX, the Early Childhood Education Act, and the Women's Educational Equity Act. She was/is an inspiration for many female congress women.
