Tune in to learn more about Dr. Christopher Lage and Dr. Jennifer Long, two of our on-site faculty members at UMA Rockland Center, as they discuss pathways for students in the biological sciences. Professor Lage is a professor of biology and marine sciences whose primary area of research involves the use of DNA technology to investigate wildlife populations around Maine. Professor Long teaches both biology and conservation biology, and her primary areas of interest are ecology and conservation. In this week's episode, UMA Rockland Center Director Chip Curry interviews our MEOC/Financial Aid advisor, Dori Leadbetter. Dori is a skilled advisor who speaks from a place of personal experience. Like many at UMA, Dori went to college later in life. Her own TRIO/MEOC advisor was invaluable when she was pursuing her degree. Upon graduation, Dori decided to become an MEOC advisor herself to give that gift back to the community. Tune in to hear more about financial aid resources and Dori’s journey.
