Discipline and tough love
The hardest part of parenting is seeing your kid cry or hurt. Sometimes they need the small hurt to make the connection of ‘okay, that really does hurt I shouldn’t do it to others’. As they grow they’ll continue to understand that what they do to others is a reflection of their character. Teach them young so they grow up respectful humans. As always, I’m here for you mamma!

A Hard day.
Hard days happen more frequently than I would care to admit. What can I say, Parenting is hard. From 11pm blow outs to 2am potty breaks; life happens and it’s not always pretty. I choose to rest on my “work day” and pushed my podcast back a day because I was so overwhelmed. I couldn’t help think that, this was precisely why I made this podcast. A journal, if you will, to help support other moms hard days. So come listen and understand that those hard days are shared by all. I here for you mamma!

Routine, Routine, Routine
Having a routine is hard enough as an adult… trying to figure one out for a child is even harder! Keep in mind that routines help influence good behavior. It is important to map out your day in a structured way so everyone in the home feels in control. Keep it easy, simple and fun! No need to go buy a fancy $300 calendar or chore chart; instead, get creative and make one with your child. This will help get them excited about new routines and therefore be more excited to follow them. After all, everyone loves getting praised for what they did right. Children need to be rewarded for accomplishing their own tasks too. Give them chores! It’s truly good for them. By implementing routines and chores young, your child can hopefully carry what they’ve learned into adulthood. I’m here for you mamma!

How social media can define your mindset
Seeing everyone’s “perfect life” can take a toll on you. Wishing you had what they had is a slippery slope to discouragement and feeling like a failure. Many people post their milestones of life and are proud to show off their hard work. Though we are proud of them, we can be jealous, too. During these moments of discouragement, remember what you have to be thankful for. Do you have food on the table? A roof over your head? Do you own your home? Do you drive a reliable car? How about a spouse, children or relatives? You live a pretty great life too! Never forget about yourself and all you are worth. I’m here for you mamma!
