Ryan Goldsmith cohosts the "Laguna Tropical Surf" KXTakeover with his stories and songs to raise funds for Laguna Beach Public Radio. He is lso know as Farmer Leo, the chief gardener at The Ranch at Laguna Beach's Farm to Table Garden in Aliso Canyon, providing fresh herbs to the chefs and flower arrangements for the resort. A lifelong philanthropist, Ryan supports many non-profit organizations.

A distant, chubbier relation to the Energizer Bunny, Bree Rosen continues to astound with her broad spectrum career as Entertainment Mercenary.  With gigs from stage to teaching voice to writing and directing youth programming for Pacific Symphony, this delirious diva loves her dog, and of course her spouse, her son, her singing, silliness, small scale spectacle, Segways and sumptuous sips of sauvignon...and those are just the sibilants!

Kim Dwinell likes stories more than the beach. Almost. Maybe it's a tie. She first had a career as a beach lifeguard, and then a career in animation (The Swan Princess, Cats Don't Dance, Hercules, Mulan and Tarzan,) and now combines her two loves in her first graphic novel, Surfside Girls: The Secret of Danger Point. She also teaches animation at CSU Long Beach. When she's not in the classroom or at her desk, she might be running a 10K or out on the ocean in her boat or on her board. She lives on a tree-lined street in sunny Southern California with her husband, son and Springer Spaniel.

Mary Hartman from Girl in the Curl Surf Shop cohosts "Laguna Tropical Surf" to announce her “Queenie of Doheny” Saturday, October 25th at Doheny State Beach.  Surf Queenie is the long-awaited gathering, celebrating the sisterhood of surfing—bringing waves of joy to lift and edify each other in the playful surf of our beloved and sparkly Doheny State Beach. Our goal is to create a supportive space, spreading salty smiles, surf stoke, and aloha spirit to everyone in and out of the water. All ages and skill levels welcome. In partnership with the Doheny State Beach Foundation and California State Parks, we are making tides brighter with an emphasis on preserving and protecting our natural resources in the park—alongside our fragile ocean and the wildlife that call it home. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Doheny State Beach Foundation.

Dick used his Korean War Army GI Bill to go to college and start on his world travels looking for surf, adventures and romance. In a broadcast that lasted over an hour and a half, Dick Metz still had plany more talk-story. We hope to continue his ho'o malimali on another episode of "Laguna Tropical Surf"!!!

Beth and Steve have a very busy musician son, Nate Wood (check him out on YouTube) and also own a Martial Arts School in Irvine with their son Jim where they practice Korean Chung Do Kwon.  They try to nap every day.
