Voices From the Hidden Kingdom

While women world-wide carry a heavy gender burden, mental load, and generalized invisibility, the women of North Korea are fighting a battle that most of the world will never know about, both in their country and in neighboring countries they escape to. Join me for a difficult, yet factual conversation around the first hand experience of a North Korean woman I know, hear about her journey, and get a deeper understanding of what we do at NKFI. 

Though we typically only think about the modern day oppression of the North Korean people, they have lived under occupation, oppression, neglect, and more for more than 116 years. Through this episode I speak with a North Korean friend about the history, perspectives, and facts around the unknown concept of freedom.
