In this podcast, we will feature students from the University of Oxford and around the world. We hope the podcast can inspire and motivate younger generations to pursue their own research interests in multi-disciplinary domains. This project receives funds from the Reuben PER Innovation Fund.

Welcome to "Voices in Research: Student Perspectives on Multidisciplinary Studies," a podcast brought to you by us, Puyu and Laxmi, students at Reuben College, University of Oxford. For today’s episode, we are excited to welcome Eleni Ilkou. Elen Ilkou is a PhD researcher in Computer Science working on educational applications. Her research is on Knowledge Graphs, which are web databases that enable AI applications. She is part of Semantic Web and Technology-Enhanced Learning communities. She is visiting UK for Short-term Scientific Mission to work with Dr Ernesto Jiménez-Ruiz from City, University London in the creation of a Knowledge Graph for teaching Knowledge Graphs. #03 Voices in Research: conversation with Erin Canning
Welcome to "Voices in Research: Student Perspectives on Multidisciplinary Studies," a podcast brought to you by us, Puyu and Laxmi, students at Reuben College, University of Oxford. Joining us today is Erin Canning. Erin Canning is a DPhil student at the University of Oxford (Oxford e-Research Centre, Department of Engineering Science) funded through the AHRC CDP scheme and co-supervised by the V&A Museum. Prior to beginning their studentship, Erin held the position of Ontology Systems Analyst at the Linked Infrastructure for Networked Cultural Scholarship project (LINCS). Erin holds Masters degrees in Information (MI) and Museum Studies (MMst) from the University of Toronto, where they conducted research examining how art museum information systems could be designed to accommodate affect as a fundamental way of knowing material culture. Erin is interested in the possibilities that semantic data modelling offers for structuring cultural heritage knowledge and data in more holistic and inclusive ways, as well as feminist and queer approaches to museum data practices. #02 Voice in Research: conversation with Edinah Samuel
Welcome to "Voices in Research: Student Perspectives on Multidisciplinary Studies," a podcast brought to you by us, Puyu and Laxmi, students at Reuben College, University of Oxford. In this podcast, our guest was Edinah Samuel. Edinah is pursuing an MSc in Water Science, Policy, and management at the University of Oxford. She is an experienced professional with over five years of experience in WASH, standing for water, sanitation, and hygiene, environmental planning, and climate change. She excels in transdisciplinary research, knowledge transfer, and engagement. Her expertise includes managing and coordinating WASH and environmental research, policy development, program design and implementation, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E). She is adept at project management, data collection and analysis, and stakeholder engagement, including working with government officials and local communities. We extend our gratitude to the Reuben PER Innovation Fund and the college for their generous support of this project.

Welcome to "Voices in Research: Student Perspectives on Multidisciplinary Studies," a podcast brought to you by us, Puyu and Laxmi, students at Reuben College, University of Oxford. In this podcast, our guest was Dr Prenika Anand, a 2023 alumnus of Reuben College. Prenika completed her MSc in Applied Digital Health and now researching the intersections of ageing, health and technology at the Oxford Institute of Population Ageing. In line with our multidisciplinary theme, Prenika is also a dentist, a public health student, a management consultant and a product manager. We extend our gratitude to the Reuben PER Innovation Fund and the college for their generous support of this project.
