Voices in the Wind is a regular broadcast from the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre where we share news about our mission to end sexual violence and child abuse across south-west Alberta. This can be a difficult subject to tackle, but we want to take a hopeful and uplifting approach.     Episode 6 - Are Your Kids Safe? - July 2025

    Are your kids safe this summer? During the summer months children and youth have more time on their hands ... and more time to spend online. In this episode, we talk to Cpl. Heather Bangle with the Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) who talks about the dangers lurking online and what parents can do to keep their kids safe. Plus, we welcome Jacqueline Ahenkorah as the new host of our Chinook Winds segment. She'll share details on our Dream Vacation raffle and highlight the important contribution made by one of our major donors - MNP Lethbridge.

    Episode 5 - Metis Voices - June 2025

    Join us as we explore the rich history and culture of the Metis in Southern Alberta as part of an episode dedicated to National Indigenous History Month in Canada. Kimberly Hansen from the Lethbridge and Area Metis Association joins us to talk about the strength and resiliency of the Metis community as well as a new partnership with the Chinook Sexual Assault Centre.
