This week on the Voices of the Game Podcast I sit down with the voice of the Greater Sudbury Cubs and the Espanola Paper Kings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League, Thomas Mercier.Thomas also calls games for the Etobicoke Dolphins of the Ontario Women’s Hockey League. We play a fun game I’m calling Kings of Commodities and we get into the Cubs success over the last three seasons, threepeating as NOJHL champs and making a third consecutive trip to the Centennial Cup.

In our debut episode we start at the start with Dane’s first broadcast partner and the man who showed him the ropes, Adam McGuire! Adam is currently the voice of the University of Waterloo Warriors football, and men’s and women’s hockey teams within Ontario University Athletics competing under the U Sports umbrella. Adam was awarded OUA’s Webcaster of the Year Award in 2024-25.
