If Looks Could Kill
You can't say we aren't going out with a bang. Because we are. Our very last episode and we're discussing a Linda Hunt movie. You're welcome. It's been fun.
-

Highlander
The self-contained movie that managed to spawn a franchise. It even won the Oscar® for being the best movie ever.

The Last Dragon
Cult classic? Check. Kung fu? Check. Bad acting? Check. Bill Macy? Check. Let's take 'The Last Dragon' for a test drive.

Dream a Little Dream
Jason Robards. The Two Coreys. Meredith Salenger. Harry Dean Stanton. What could go wrong? Quite a few things actually. Not the least of which is that we're coming to a close. There's still a few episodes left. And they're pretty good, too. So, don't despair just yet.

Teen Wolf Too
Do you love Jason Bateman as much (or more) as Brent does? Do you like having the things you love broken before your eyes? Are you into choreographed dance sequences and bad singing dubs? Do you have a thing for John Astin? If you answered 'Yes' to any of the above questions then, baby, have we got an episode for you. Journey with Jeremy and Brent into the depths of... I don't want to spoil it for you.

Scream
What's your favorite scary movie? Ours is "The Notebook". But we're not talking about that this week. We're talking about "Scream". Is it a good horror movie? A bad comedy? Neither? Both? Let's find out. Bonus: you'll get to listen to Brent disparage a beloved director. Bonus #2: There's a poll and you can choose who was right (Brent) and who was wrong (Jeremy).

Josie and the Pussycats
Why did Ebert hate perfection? Have you ever wanted to listen as someone loses their mind? In this episode you can, literally, hear Brent's brain break. Jeremy laughs while it happens.

Police Academy
Steve Guttenberg. What more do we need to say? This movie has Steve Guttenberg in it, and a Police Academy that operates unlike any Police Academy in America. According to some people neither of these things are enough to make a good movie. We may disagree with them about that. Steve Guttenberg. Sorry, that's just a fun name.

Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
This was going to be our Christmas episode but then we talked so much about Clifford that it got bumped to today. We would apologize, but Clifford is awesome. So is Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves. Or is it?

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Jeremy decided that AI openings aren't for us (because Brent spent 3/4 of the last episode complaining about it). So, thank god for small victories. This week we're discussing a very small independent film that you probably haven't heard about before that has a great soundtrack. Fun fact, used to be a band called "Mister Rodger's Cult Explosion" who did a cover of the theme song from this movie. I tell you this because it makes me chuckle. Not because you should seek it out. Join us as we travel through the sewers of life. #TurtlePower

Beverly Hills Cop
Jeremy blindsided everyone with a new AI show introduction. Brent continues his unholy worship of Judge Reinhold. Katie came back for another round of "WTF is up with Ebert's views on comedy?" And hilarious hi-jinks ensue. Also, Siskel and Ebert get it more or less right. Sort of.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High
Katie's back for this one. And everyone laments the extremely misogynistic review that Ebert gave this movie. Seriously. It's so bad. And that's saying something because we have Brent on this show.

We're thankful for sequels
We didn't feel like you deserved a real episode for Thanksgiving, so this week we're talking about sequels that take a hard turn from their predecessors. Jeremy hates the fun ones. Brent, as always the more intelligent, learned, wise, kind, caring, and diplomatic of the two hosts, defends the them. Like a piece of ice once said, "Fill in the gap. Drop that bass and get the ninja rap... Go ninja. Go ninja. Go ninja. Go."

The Elephant Man
We were supposed to have a guest again this week. She bailed on us. So, you're stuck with us again. As an added bonus, we discuss Anthony Hopkins's character's strange obsession with penises. It's actually a very minor thing in the episode, I just wanted to type the word "penises". Twice.

Clifford - Part 2
We're back (not a dinosaur story - but we do talk about a dinosaur theme park) with the rest of our discussion about Clifford. Brent really wishes that Clifford had been killed in the movie. And he's not afraid to say it. Jeremy shows his age with the incorrect usage of modern slang.

Clifford - Part 1
Have you ever felt someone was so wrong about something that you felt the need to make a two-part episode about it on your podcast? Brent did. So, this is part 1 of our discussion about the cinematic masterpiece "Clifford".

Jaws: the Revenge
Is it good? No. Is it fun? Not really. Does it have a Highlander villain? Only if you acknowledge the existence of Highlander III: The Sorcerer (aka Highlander: The Final Dimension, aka Highlander: The Final Conflict). Should you watch it? Was Ebert right about it? Would it have been a better movie if Eartha Kitt had been in it? Listen to this episode to find out.

Thelma & Louise
WARNING: Some content in this episode may be harmful to some listeners. Discretion is advised. Two straight, middle-aged, white guys discuss the plight of women in the world. Because those are, clearly, the only opinions on that topic that matter. We also discuss a movie named 'Thelma & Louise' and how much better it is than 'Deliverance'.
-
4
Batman
Jeremy defends the Gotham PD. Brent uncovers the root cause of his personality problems. Ebert gets it wrong again.
-

Deliverance
CONTENT WARNING: This episode of VS the Movies contains graphic content that may upset some listeners. No one is safe from the injustice of poor cinematography, toxic masculinity, or bad movie reviews. Though Brent finds some level of solace in the fact that he had been avoiding this movie for all of the wrong reasons, and Jeremy argues that a movie's very existence entitles it to at least a half of a star. The Terminator
Brent's world view is shaken to its very core when he discovers that he agrees with Ebert about a movie. Jeremy doesn't believe in a thing called in love if it's in a movie like The Terminator.
-
1
Jurassic Park
Jeremy and Brent take a look at Siskel and Ebert's reviews for Jurassic Park and fundamentally disagree with almost everything they had to say about the movie.
