Eduardo chats with author Rudy Ruiz. They talk about his novel Valley Of Shadows that is set to be released on September 20th. Rudy talks about his multicultural upbringing growing up along the US-Mexico border in Texas. Eduardo chats with Jackie Rodriguez who is a communications strategist for sustainable brands. In keeping with the theme of last weeks episode, they discuss the voice we have as consumers and the power we have with our purchases. Corporate America can continue to produce products that are low in quality and bad for the environment but it is our choice whether we purchase them. She talks what it means to be a sustainable brand as well as the environmental implications of the fast fashion industry. Eduardo sits down with attorney and reproductive rights activist Paula Avila Guillen. They discuss the courts ruling to overturn Roe v Wade. Paula also discusses her experiences in working for abortion rights in Latin America. Specifically in Argentina, Mexico, and her home country of Colombia. All three countries which have passed the United States in terms of women's reproductive rights. A timely cant miss episode from a woman who has been fighting on the front lines for abortion rights for many years. 

Eduardo chats with TikToker Cisco Viera, they discuss his rise to TikTok fame and some of the difficulties that come with that. Cisco discusses how important his Puerto rican culture is to him and why he creates content that Latinx people can connect with. 

Eduardo sits down with contemporary artist Daphne Arthur. Daphne talks about her multicultural experience being born in Venezuela yet raised in a Trinidadian house. She talks about her creative process and what inspires her to create through the mediums of painting, sculpture, and drawing all while experimenting with different materials. Eduardo and Daphne share their experiences in connecting with nature and how important that is to them both. Daphne also talks about her work that is being shown at the Over The Influence gallery in Los Angeles, CA this month and what drew her to create those pieces. Eduardo sits down with gun violence prevention activist Ramon Contreras. Ramon talks about a transformative event that happened to him in high school and how that shaped his narrative as an activist. He also talks about his work with March for our lives and voter registration. Eduardo and Ramon discuss todays political climate and what we can do as young people to make change. Lastly they discuss the power that the Latinx community has when it comes to organizing and electoral politics, a power that may not yet be realized. 

Founder of Educational non profit Dr. Jose Enriquez joins the show. Jose talks about his early childhood in El Salvador and moving to the United States at a young age. He credits mentors like his mom and high school wrestling coach as key figures in his life. He talks about the culture shock of moving to Utah for college and his first jobs as a teacher in Utah. Eduardo and Jose discuss the current state of education in this country. Lastly Jose discusses how the organization he founded, Latinos In Action, has flourished over the last 20 years and is now in 14 states and growing quickly. Don't miss this episode. Eduardo chats with San Francisco based artist Aaron De La Cruz. Aaron talks about his early influences as a kid growing up in Fresno, CA. He also talks about his formative time at art school during his college years. Aarons works can be seen all over the world and he has collaborated with some of the biggest brands. He talks about how his style can not be defined or really fit into a box.
