What Is This Podcast About?

What is this podcast about? Great question, we’d love to know, too. Each week, your hosts dive headfirst into something new: pop culture hyperfixations, personality quizzes, haunted dolls, lesbian pirates, you name it. It’s a mix of humor, heart, wild tangents, and overly confident opinions, delivered with the energy of two friends who had every intention of making a plan. A podcast about everything and nothing. Thanks for tuning in.

    Cooking and Recipes

This could EASILY be a podcast all about food, cooking, and recipes! We forgot to eat lunch before recording so listen in and get hungry with your hosts as we discuss White People Taco Night, Breakfast for Dinner, the official Tier Ranking list of fruits, and so much more.  As always, we're doing this without a recipe and based on vibes alone. Thanks for tuning in!

  2. 11

    Parlour Games

What if this was a podcast where we just played silly improv, guessing, and 'parlour' games? In this episode Arin brings some games and your hosts embarrass themselves playing French Toast, Flip It and Pitch It, the Picnic Game, Name That Tune (humming edition), and many more. Tune in to listen to Stacey struggle to name any celebrity and Arin struggle to recognize any song. Plus, don't miss some really-not-great attempts at character accents near the end of the episode.  As always, we have no idea what we're doing. Thanks for following along <3

Stranger Things & TV Series Finales

Spoilers Ahead!! In this episode of WITPA, Stacey and Arin sit down for an in-depth discussion about the recently-aired Stranger Things Series Finale (additional spoiler alert: we love it!!! fuck the haters!!!!). They compare it to another famous series finale (spoiler alert for how unsatisfying the end of Game of Thrones was) and contemplate actually finishing the series Glee, which ended in our hearts long before it ended on TV.  What if this podcast was just us yapping about a show we really love for a full hour?? Tune in to see if it works! As always, we're trying our best. Thanks for coming along for the ride.

  4. 9

    Haunted Dolls

Did you know you can buy a 100% genuine freaky-ass haunted doll on Ebay? It's an incredible value for a most-definitely cursed object you can bring into your home, and an exciting enough internet find that we could easily have a whole podcast about it.  Don't miss this all-new spooky episode where Arin and Stacey discuss the paranormal. Tune in to hear Stacey's real life ghost story, enjoy Arin's descriptions of real-life haunted dolls available for sale, and journey with us on tangents including Victorian gothic revival, sexy Halloween costumes, and (as always), hating Ryan Murphy.  Thanks for listening!

  5. 8

    Taylor Swift

She's the biggest pop star in the world; it would be easy to have a podcast all about Taylor Alison Swift, American singer-songwriter, multiple Grammy winner, era-defining recording artist, and star of CATS (2019).  Listen in as we pay homage to the great TS, discuss our generational kinship with her, defend her from haters, name all our favourite of her songs (hint: it's a lot of them), break down her newest album 'The Life of a Showgirl', and of course, talk at length about the Taylors in our own lives and how they impact our love for all Taylors.  Stay tuned as this conversation turns into a meditation on the purpose of art itself. You also don't want to miss us jumping through conversational hoops to avoid a copyright infringement claim.  As always, we're total amateurs, and we appreciate you joining the party.

  6. 7

    Dungeons and Dragons (Character Building)

Arin is obsessed with Dungeons and Dragons. Our podcast could be about that??? Get ready to meet the new star of the podcast - a DND character created live by Stacey during pod recording. You'll have to listen in if you want to meet them and in order to hear Arin info dump about bard colleges, erotic role playing, fae magic, and The Last of Us video game voice cast members.  As always, this podcast is produced on a whim and a dream. Thanks for listening.

  7. 6

    Astrology

Are horoscopes bullshit? If yes, why do they sometimes feel so accurate? What if our podcast was all about astrology?! Join us as we talk star charts, main character energy, the fifth house, and divination as an exercise in learning about oneself. Listen in as we figure out our birth charts and as Stacey learns at least 100 new things from Arin (who seems to be a master of this topic already - maybe we really could have a podcast about it!) As always, this podcast is a very amateur production made possible only through the power of friendship and the internet. Thanks for tuning in!

  8. 5

    Reddit Posts

Spicy oral sex, kitchen hacks, Santa Clause discourse, and the duality of humankind. What if our podcast was about Reddit posts?    Join Arin and Stacey as we read, discuss, and go on tangents about various AmITheAsshole, LifeHacks, and IFuckedUp posts. As expected, the conversation goes from silly and ga, to deep and philosophical to somewhat horrific, and then back to a bundle of laughs, all at a rate that almost hurts the brain.   Thanks for listening to this very amateurly produced podcast, made with nothing but love, a dream, and the power of the internet. See you next week :)

  9. 4

    Tegan and Sara Quin

What if this podcast was about Canadian indie rock/pop duo and famous gay twins, Tegan and Sara Quin? They're Stacey's hyperfixation of the moment and she needs an outlet!  Join the pod as we discuss early 2000s emo music, catfishing, gender identity, and more in this very special episode brought to you by Stacey's everlasting need to be obsessed with a brown-haired woman (or two!) As always, this podcast is completely amateurly produced and contains very little content and even less research, information, or point at all. Enjoy and thanks for tuning in!

  10. 3

British Monarchs: Tudor Period to Today

Can you name every British Monarch from the Tudor Period to today? Arin can, and he wondered whether that's what our podcast could be about.  Listen in as we go on at least a dozen tangents and Arin shares all his favourite stories from the British Monarchy, including a special section dedicated to all the LGBTQ+ icons we didn't know we had and didn't know we needed.  As always, this is a podcast about barely anything, with almost no research, real information, or point at all. Enjoy!

  11. 2

Movie and TV Recommendations / Reviews

We sure do consume a lot of content. Tune into the second episode of the pod where we try to figure out whether the podcast could maybe be about TV and Movie reviews and recommendations? In this episode, Arin breaks down the SMOSH YouTube rabbit hole he's been going down, Stacey recommends multiple Aubrey Plaza movies, and we go on a long tangent about our former favourite show (turned mortal enemy), Glee.  'What Is This Podcast About?' is a completely amateurly produced podcast with very little real content. Thanks for listening!

  12. 1

How Well We Know Each Other

It's the first episode of our podcast! Join us (Arin and Stacey) as we take a first stab at what our podcast could be about. What if our podcast was about how well we know each other? We could ask questions and try to figure out what the other person would answer! Tune in to listen to us complete a 'Best Friend Quiz', crown a winner (clearly the better friend), take a trip down memory lane, and go on at least a few tangents.  'What Is This Podcast About?' is a completely amateurly made production with barely any real content. Thanks for listening!
