What Was That Called Again?

This is a movie podcast where Thomas selects three movies and reads their imdb plot descriptions to Will, and then Will has to try to match the plot description with the correct title.

  1. 66

95 - Cave Eating Man Monster

Welcome to episode 95 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, Thomas and Will announce that a hiatus has come sooner than expected. With that news, this is the final episode of "Season 2" of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will as Will is suddenly very busy with projects and Thomas needs a break.  Also, Thomas is accused of stealing, Will accidently creates a new type of monster, and all three of this week's films are suggested by the fine folks from the Going Over Our Freds podcast. Going Over Our Freds is a podcast that features the films of Fred Olen Ray. Check out Going Over Our Freds wherever you find your favorite podcasts. Enjoy. Featured movies: BIOHAZARD (1985) DEEP SPACE (1988) THE PHANTOM EMPIRE (1988) #Biohazard #DeepSpace #ThePhantomEmpire #FredOlenRay #GoingOverOurFreds

    95 Pre-Show: May 1, 2026

Welcome to our pre-show recorded before episode 95. In this installment, we celebrate May Day by announcing we are going on a hiatus. We then discuss what we have been up to which includes Will doing haunt-set-up things and Thomas seemingly not doing a lot but planning to do things. Later on in this one, things get a bit political when Thomas discusses his local congressman and what a dumb dick he is and reads an email he received from said congressman on air. Enjoy.

  3. 64

    94 - Female Pedal Pumping

Welcome to episode 94 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This week's episode, the coin flip was heads so an edit was made. Thomas doesn't trust the French. Will is a well-worn machine that has not oxygenated, according to Thomas. Thomas shows his massive "teas and whatnot" cup which leaves Will stunned. The great water temperature debate begins. And could your email force Will to do something? Find out as we cover three foreign films; one with a crazy title, one with a title that sounds metal AF, and one that is Italian. Also, this week's creative segment is basically a cinematic version of the game Frogger with 90 camera angles.  Enjoy. Featured movies: DEATH OCCURED LAST NIGHT (1970) BRONCO BULLFROG (1970) AND SOON THE DARKNESS (1970)  #DeathOccuredLastNight #BroncoBullfrog #AndSoonTheDarkness

  4. 63

    94 Pre-Show: April 4, 2026

Welcome to our pre-show recorded before episode 94. In this one we ponder how carrier pigeons worked, Thomas confronts Will about a text message and Will tells us about Top Golf (not a sponsor.) Enjoy.

  5. 62

    93 - Vance Stains

Welcome to episode 93 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This week, Thomas once again threatens to read your emails (wwtcapod @ proton mail dot com) and he refuses to promote the show on his Bluesky. May is announced as Mango Mai Tai-style Drink Month. Pea milk is mentioned, Will is frightened by Thomas being possessed on-air, and there are multiple uses of the word "froth." In this episode's creative segment, an exhibitionist becomes a chair and that is the least crazy part. Enjoy. Featured movies: THE HEIRLOOM (2024) BY DESIGN (2025) UNIVERSAL (2025) #TheHeirloom #ByDesign #Universal

  6. 61

    93 Pre-Show: March 20, 2026

Welcome to our pre-show recorded before episode 93. In this week's installment the topics ranged from the weather to podcasts and we ended up having a longer than expected chat about incels. Enjoy.

  7. 60

92 - Possessed By An Alien

Welcome to episode 92 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, it is Friday the 13th AGAIN (at the time of recording) and the hosts discuss milk along with its side effects. Will explains the complex instructions for making a vodka apple juice and officially announces his new chair. Thomas makes another weird noise.  Also, a creative segment in space devolves into a urine soaked farce that may have inspired John Carpenter's THE THING.  Enjoy. Featured movies: THE QUATERMASS XPERIMENT (1955) SYMBIOPSYCHOTAXIPLASM (1968) THE EXPERIMENT (2001) #TheQuatermassXperiment #Symbiopsychotaxiplasm #TheExperiment

    92 Pre-Show: March 13, 2026

Welcome to our pre-show recorded before episode 92. In this week's installment, the fellas talk about girl scout cookies, milk, Traitors, and make their Oscars predictions despite this episode airing a good while after the Oscars. Oh well. Also full disclosure: Thomas says Alan Cumming was on celebrity Traitors but he meant to say Alan Carr. Don't come for him. Or do come for him via email. We'd appreciate it. Here's the link for the trans girl scouts cookies, if they are still available: https://www.erininthemorning.com/p/2026-trans-girl-scouts-to-order-cookies Enjoy.

  9. 58

    91 - The Hate U Give To

Welcome to episode 91 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, the hosts discuss social media, Thomas mentions his Bluesky (@ThomasWWTCA) where you can follow him, Will counts how many pairs of scissors he owns, and a vocal rendition of the Star Wars theme leaves Will amazed.  Also, the creative segment begins with mobsters again only to quickly spiral into a cinematic universe.  Enjoy. Featured movies: SHOCK (1977) RETRIBUTION (1987) SCISSORS (1991) #Shock #Retribution #Scissors

  10. 57

  11. 56

    90 - California Girls

Welcome to episode 90 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, Thomas begins the show with his best Derek Hayes (Monsters Among Us) impression and we give a shout out to our Youtube listener. Also, Will smashed a coffee mug with his WWTCA drinking glass and he compares early indie film to early scientific discoveries.  This week's films left the mood a bit depressed so the creative segment relied heavily on songs featuring the state of California.  Enjoy. Featured movies: KIDS (1995) KEN PARK (2002) THE SMELL OF US (2014) #Kids #KenPark #TheSmellOfUs

  12. 55

  13. 54

    89 - The New Conspiracy

Welcome to episode 89 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This week, Thomas is on one after having some "white bourbon" making for an aggressive beginning and hilarious end. Also, Will discusses the Punk Rock look, counter-counter culture, and also mistakenly mentions Sally Ride when he meant Christa McAuliffe. The creative segment introduces a new punk band to the world and Thomas sings a folk song or two. Pure 1980s. Enjoy. Enjoy.

  15. 52

88 - Is Someone Out There?

Welcome to episode 88 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, everything kicks off in a creepy sounding way, the hosts debate hipster culture, and Will asks if Thomas is a "sandwich boy." Also, this week's creative segment features an amazing David Bowie impression.  Enjoy. Featured movies: BREAD (1971) SUPER BEEF (2024) HOAGIE (2025)

  16. 51

In this installment we talk about what we have been up to these past couple weeks since we last recorded, Thomas recommends a series of Japanese films he has been watching, and then the two talk about music for a while and that turns into talking about INTERSTELLAR which turns into talking about movie music. Enjoy.

  17. 50

    87 - Train Cop

Welcome to episode 87 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, Will's drink reminds him of a commercial grade cleaner he smelled frequently as a child and he forgets when World War Two ended...these may be connected. Also, the pair get stuck thinking about mobsters with a love for trains.  Enjoy. Featured movies: TERROR BY NIGHT (1946) LAST STOP ON THE NIGHT TRAIN (1975) NARROW MARGIN (1990)

  18. 49

Welcome to our pre-show to episode 87. In this sprawling installment, Thomas and Will cover topics of Will's lack of sleep and reluctance to give up energy drinks (are they related?), their text thread, they read more from their screenplay THE STREAM finally, they discuss trials and tribulations of filmmaking with no money and no help, and then end up talking about Christopher Nolan's movies and trying to figure out if there is a movie Will likes but Thomas doesn't. Spoiler alert: they can't think of one so it becomes Thomas and Will taking turns naming movies and then briefly commenting on them. Thomas even just starts naming things he hasn't seen for some reason. Enjoy.

  19. 48

86 - The Legend of Pissman

Welcome to episode 86 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This week is a REVERSE episode of WWTCA where Will reads three synopsis from IMDb and Thomas has to match the titles. In this episode, Will gets the intro he has heard 84 times wrong, the duo solidify their enjoyment of Dr. Pepper with a very doctor heavy drink check, and one film featured includes a character with arguably the greatest name in cinema history. Also, the creative segment gives birth to a cultural legend no one would ever ask for, and for that we are sorry.             Enjoy. Featured movies: MANSLAUGHTER (1930) UP THE RIVER (1930) THE BIG TRAIL (1930)

  20. 47

Link to Thomas and Will's short film INSOMNIA which we mentioned: https://youtu.be/m-j7BC-98Dk?si=OG73PQLXIm3fRD2M

  22. 45

    85 Pre-Show: January 2, 2026

  23. 44

    84 - Ghost in 60 Seconds

Welcome to episode 84 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. This week's episode may be the most unhinged yet. Will forgets he has a favorite movie and has his mind blown by Thomas dropping a TV reference. Thomas admits he is not a fan of alcohol and he still hasn't revealed the British drink he teased several episodes ago. Already well off the rails, the hosts then create a brand new French superhero.          Enjoy. Featured movies: THE SLAP (1974) SLIP (2006) SLIDE (2025)

  25. 42

83 - A Tingle in the Memory Bank

Welcome to episode 83 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week's episode, Thomas and Will get confused about time, FIFA is behind a very controversial sounding organization of which one of this week's movies is based, and one film covered is scheduled to release THIS WEEK! Also, a classic creative segment prediction turns into morally and ethically questionable chaos.         Enjoy. Featured movies: IN DREAMS (1999) DREAM (2023) DREAMS (2025)

  37. 30

    77 - Curly Hair Guy

Welcome to episode 77 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. On this week's episode two of the three film synopsis throws Will for a loop for opposite reasons and the third is forgotten almost as soon as Will hears it. Wait...how is that different from normal? Our creative segment employs a Woody Allen impersonation (not an endorsement) that sounds even more weak and pathetic than the man himself! Enjoy. Welcome to episode 75 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week’s installment, Thomas tells Will about three films that don’t seem to really have a lot in common and Will also struggles to remember the titles which Thomas just told him. That’s kind of normal though. We end with a creative segment involving a transportation based serial killer. Enjoy. Featured movies: MEANTIME (1983) EUREKA (2000) AN ELEPHANT SITTING STILL (2018)

  42. 25

  44. 23

    74 Pre-Show: December 5, 2025

Welcome to our pre-show recorded before episode 74. 48. 19

    72 Pre-Show: August 29, 2025

In this one, Thomas and Will chat for a while about a band Thomas likes that split apart earlier this year, then we discuss the films Rap World (2024), Weapons (2025) and Malignant (2021) so SPOILER ALERT for all three of those films! 71 - Satan Baby Wizard

Welcome to episode 71 of What Was That Called Again? with Thomas and Will. In this week’s installment, we cover movies that may or may not involve Satan(?) a baby(?) and/or a wizard(?). Nevertheless, Will boldly declares upfront that he is getting them all three correct. Find out if his cockiness pays off once again! We follow it up with a creative segment that could double as a possible elevator pitch to Netflix. As long as the elevator is stuck and the door won’t open. Enjoy. 50. 17
