What's Haunting You?

A podcast where we work on healing that which haunts us. When we focus on our health & wellness by addressing what haunts us, physically, spiritually, psychologically, emotionally, even paranormally, we demonstrate our commitment to living a fuller & more meaningful life. Micah is a grandmother, Energy Guide & Body Worker with a degree in Holistic Psychology. Using her lifetime of experience and education, she gets candid about how she's learned to alchemize and transmute her own traumas, abuses, mistakes, unhealthy patterns and fears. We are stronger than what's happened to us.MsMicah.com

The Meanings of Love - Pt. 2 (Exploring the Different Words For Love - The Last Four)

Concluding with the last four (Greek) words for love. The second episode will focus on the more romantic forms of love including, Ludus, Eros, Mania, and Pragma. Let’s explore how these can all show up in different types of relationships and how relationships can develop different forms of love.I wanted to conclude by talking about how I’ve experienced all these different forms of love and how the best relationship I’ve ever had has all of the healthy forms of love and what that looks like to me from my experience(s).I’d love to hear any questions, comments, examples from your own life, or future topic ideas. Please comment here or for more private messages you can email [email protected] or text 480-382-7596.Thank you to Jim Hesterman for his help with audio and visual production.MsMicah.comReferences can be found in my Substack and Patreon posts via my website.

The Three Factors That Created Valentine's Day

Any holiday that revolves around gratitude has my attention and love is a favorite topic of mine so for this bonus episode I just want to briefly share the three factors that likely played into the creation of Valentine’s Day. Plus, this bonus episode feels like a nice filling to the sandwich of my love episodes right now, with the second part of “The Meanings of Love” coming out at the end of the month.Learning the history of something we feel programmed to celebrate helps me appreciate it more while also feeling more empowered to celebrate it in the way I want to and not the way I’m told to. Personally, I deeply respect the choices of St. Valentine and I’m excited about the upcoming Spring season but can leave the rest. For example, I didn’t realize St. Valentine was the patron saint of more than love before doing research on this episode! One of my hobbies is curating music for different kinds of playlists. Looking for romantic playlists? The Meanings of Love - Pt. 1 (Exploring the Different Words For Love - The First Four)

**Since February is a month of purification and love and with all that’s going on in the world, I wanted to begin season two with a focus on the different Greek and Latin words for love. I have found it easier to understand love when I can break them down into different types and apparently, psychology is doing this more and more as well. There are eight main forms of love that I’m going to focus on in the first two episodes of this season. What each one is when it’s healthy and what the unhealthy version looks like.**Edit: This first episode covers the meaning along with the healthy and unhealth expressions of Philautia, Agape, Storge, and Philia and how they shape our early life as well as how that impacts us as adults.I hope you can appreciate why understanding how love operates for each of us is an important topic, especially right now. I’d love to hear any questions, comments, examples from your own life, or future topic ideas. Please comment here or for more private messages you can email [email protected] or text 480-382-7596.For the video version you can go to my YouTube.Thank you to Jim Hesterman help with audio and visual production.MsMicah.com

Yule Monsters, Christmas Ghost Stories & Romcoms - 'WHY?' Holiday Bonus

Thank you to those of you sharing my podcast! This bonus episode had to be a quick recording due to life circumstances but I wanted to sum up some research I did on the history of the popularity of telling ghost stories at Christmas time and during Yule. Of course, how these got me thinking about the popularity of romcoms. Please forgive the quailty of the recording. Fran, the blogger I mention can be found at: www.whingewhingewine.co.uk.

WHY Bonus - Alewives, Wortcunners & Witches - Oh My!

I was excited to use Halloween as an excuse to talk about Alewives and how they likely became the blueprint to the scary witch trope we know today. I share a bit of a medieval poem used to disparage a female brew master at the beginning just for fun but you can skip that and go to 4:12 for the podcast.Happy Halloween!Message us at [email protected] for questions and topic ideas.Written, Hosted and Produced by me: MsMicah.comAudio and Visual Production by Jim Hesterman PhotographyResources:The Tunning of Eleanor Running - Poetry FoundationE-text of John Skelton's The Tunnyng of Elynour RummyngWhy Did Women Stop Dominating the Beer Industry - Smithonian MagazineFor Centuries, Women Dominated the Brewing Industry - Atlas ObscuraBubbling Brews and Broomsticks: How Alewives Became the Stereotypical WitchJudith M. WHY Mini-Episode - Scorpio Season Story

We're getting deeper into the darkness now. With that in mind I wanted to briefly share a paranormal experience I had and what it taught me. I'm hoping my message comes across in the spirit of which it's conveyed. We all have our place in the world and areas in which we excel but it doesn't mean "gifts" are exclusive.I will be taking the rest of the year off for the holidays but will post bonus episodes as I'm able. Please like and subscribe to watch or listen as I'm able to post them. Then in 2026 I'll have a more consistent schedule now that I know more about what I want to create here.Thank you!! Introduction to the 'What's Haunting You?' (WHY) Podcast

In this Intro episode Micah explains a little of her background and why she's starting a podcast that focuses on healing the things that seem to haunt us, (inside and outside of us). Micah has learned that the most profound and empowering healing often comes from an alchemal approach, transmuting our pain into power and our fears into acts of tremendous courage. It's also one of the greatest ways to get to know ourselves and like ourselves better.Questions or topic requests?
