Kris Evans reveals the key to her industry success
Spanning from working in fashion with Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren to her film work on Pirates of the Caribbean and Hunger Games, Makeup artist and Department Head Kris Evans knows what it takes to succeed. She has endured a multitude of professional challenges throughout her 40 year career, and she's still thriving as one of the best in the industry. Listen in as she joins Meagan and Vivienne to reveal the key to her success. Guest Bio: Kris Evans, award-winning designer, and makeup ar9st began her professional career in New York City working with Barbara Walters, travelling the globe, mee9ng world leaders, presidents and major film stars. All the while, Kris was working with top designers in both Paris and New York including Thierry Mugler, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Sonia Rikiel, Norma Kamali and Halston for both runway and editorial. Her work has appeared in publica9ons including Vogue, Elle, Vanity Fair, French Vogue, Marie Claire and L’Officiel Paris. In the world of film and television, Kris’s experience is extensive. She has worked with Bob Costas as his personal stylist at the Summer and Winter Olympics from Salt Lake City 2002 to Rio 2016. Other TV credits include One Upon A Time, Big Sky and Genera9ons. She has been responsible for the design and execu9on of many features films including Con Air, Coyote Ugly, Na9onal Treasure, Dr DoliZle II and X Men 3 The Last Stand for which she received a Hollywood Film Fes9val Award for Best Make-up. Other credits include Pirates of the Caribbean One, Two and Three as well as four Hunger Games. Recently Kris just completed Francis Ford Coppola’s most recent film Megalopolis as Assistant Makeup Department Head. Kris is a member of The Academy of Mo9on Pictures Arts and Sciences, BAFTA and the Television Academy.
