Have your ever wondered how it is to be eye to eye with bird of prey? Well here you go. My wonderful guest Sophie Goldie knows not only that but is living in true tune with the bird kingdom. She is a falconer, has developed a healing skin care brand called 'Seoul & Soil' and lives with her husband on a homestead in the SW of the US. A beautiful place, that simultaneously functions as heaven for birds. And it seems the birds know of this sanctuary far and wide because not so long ago an endangered parrot landed on Sophie's shoulder and decided he wanted live with them. If you ask me, this is the life of all dreams. Luckily Sophie offers us a sweet glimpse of it. She shares about her experiences as a falconer and how it is to meet really close up with the fantastic beings who roam the air, while she is casually dropping a ton of interesting bird facts along the way. We also speak about the role of birds in our society and what we can do to protect them. This time we are out with the wolves. And of course with Jad Davenport. He is an author, nature researcher, and wildlife photographer with National Geographic, and as if that wasn't enough, he is also a former war photographer. A fearless or maybe rather courageous man to say the least. Jad is taking us on a tour from the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado where he lives into the Arctic, where a large part of his work takes place. This adventurer, explorer, and animal communicator tells us the stories we all want to hear  - about how it is to meet the wolves, the polar bears, and the arctic cold as well as the golden summers up in the Arctic. Or I guess you'd better do. After studying in the Netherlands, Manuel returned back to Portugal, where he quickly realized that his life's work was not found in the corporate world but in working with the land and bringing people back to it. In his community he has been initiating and powering up a community project about land erosion. Where land has been washed away and farmers and communities have been heavily impacted, new hope is rising. In a community effort - stretching from Miss Amarachukwu Susan Ezeosim, the Youth Lady organizer to farmers from the indigenous oko community to government officials - tree planting is transforming the erosion site is being transformed. In the center of this stands the Giant African Oak. Emmanuel shares stories about the river named Iyi ọfụrụ, the plants and of course the people.
