Where's the Witch?
by Lauren Swee
Hi! I'm Lauren, and when I'm on my death bed, I'm sure of one thing: I want to be a witch. What does that mean? Well, I'm not entirely sure. Dreams work that way sometimes. But I do have a few ideas of what it might entail—- I let magic into my life- I took autonomy over how I lived- I thrifted some really cool jewelryLetting magic and mystery into your life is a lot tricker than it seems, and I'm just getting started! Tag along as I cast a lifelong spell on myself... it might even wear off on you a little. 😉

☯️ Daily Yin Yang // A Core Part of My Witchcraft Practice
When is it time to push yourself, and when is it time to fully relax? When is it time for discipline, and when is it time for grace? This has been a question on my mind for a long time, and is the impetus behind what I call my Yin Yang practice. It’s a way to flow with your natural cycles of energy and find balance!

When success arrives… as a surprise 😲 😵💫
When we want something, it often takes a looooong time to get it, and most of the time we don’t actually know when that ending is actually going to arrive. Well, mine has! Having successfully landed a Big Girl™️ job, I must admit that it’s arrival left me in a state of shock. Really, after all these months, I was done looking! Thats what I want to talk about today, along with how I have been using the time I have before my first day on the job.

🪽Flying Blind: how do I build up my spirituality while struggling with uncertainty?
Does faith have to be tested to be real? In episode I’m six months into a job hunt with glimmers of an end but no real promises, closer to broke than I’ve ever been in my life. It’s an important time for me, I know. I cry, I put my ego aside and apply for Home Depot, do whatever I can to keep my dream moving forward, and hopefully find a way to bring magic into my life!

A Spring Oracle 🌱 / Part Three / The Door Cracks Open
My trilogy reflection on surrender and the creative process comes to fruition with this episode! Kaladhara, with her just-beyond-a-new-moon crescent light, shows us that even when there isn't full clarity yet, there's still light. And what's more? It takes time to change and grow! Before a door can open wide, it has to start with the smallest of cracks. I have a LOT to say today, on all different areas of my life! From my health and journey through chronic pain, the very beginnings of my witchy journey (hunt?), to finding faith that my job hunt is very nearly over, let's get into it!

A Spring Oracle 🌱 / Part One / Wading in a Whirlpool of Confusion
Spring is in the air, and a lot of change is coming my way! As my career, my love life, and more spring forward, my writing life has been quite... stagnant. In this three part series, I'm going to be using the tool of oracle cards to gain some insight and reflection on how I might reconnect with my creative energy and put the fun back into writing. The first card pulled in this three part series about surrender answers the question: What do I need to understand so that I can RELEASE what does not serve my soul fulfillment?

Gratitude... what even IS gratitude?
We throw the words "gratitude" and "thank you" around A LOT these days. And if I'm being honest, it's easy for me to just go through the motions when I'm giving thanks. Today I wanted to talk about how my experience of gratitude is changing as I get older, and how I'm reconnecting to gratitude after LinkedIn has talked my ear off about it for years.

Young, dumb and silly (taking my time)
After turning 25 and having a miniature mid-twenties-panic, I'm realizing how special this time of my life really is, that it's fleeting, and why being young, dumb and silly should be a big priority. From deciding to take the jump into a searching for "big kid" job, to shamelessly sleeping in late every day of the week, to trekking out on a big European adventure, this is what's been bouncing around in my head lately!

"Nobody wants to work anymore!"
It's true. A massive part of the population is turning down job opportunities left and right. As workers continue to stand up for themselves, companies struggle to stay afloat. Who's being stubborn, and who's just surviving? Something's gotta give— what will it be?

Why I Need Therapy: 3 Core Beliefs I've Discovered About Work
I've got a complicated relationship with working. It's something I am more or less forced to do, yet at the same time I'm privileged to have a job that gives me lots of freedom. Creating videos and blogs and podcasts makes me happy, but having my worth defined by what I create makes me feel anxious and small. I want to do something meaningful with my life, but I want it to be meaningful to ME— not all the people I'm trying to impress. I've come to see that I'm carrying around some core beliefs about work that are really holding me back from the life I want to live. So join me as we discuss! As usual, you can check out my work at sweevideosolutions.com

Day-to-Day Workflow & Motivation: 4 Lessons from Moving
I'm currently in the middle of a rather emotional move, and it's been making me think about motivation and workflow. How do you say goodbye to where you are and what you're doing right now? How do you get yourself excited about the next step? These are questions we have to answer on the big scale— like when we're moving— but also on the small scale— like when it's time to clear out those unread emails from your inbox. Today I'm mining my experience of moving for practices and ideas I can bring into my day-to-day workflow and motivation!
