Like any number of spirits throughout history, it is named for the area from which it’s produced but history has a way intertwining itself into places and spaces. Tonight, we focus on Cognac and how it affected history for France, the USA, and specifically New Orleans. We meander our way through Bourbon Street and the amazing cemeteries that hold so much mystery and intrigue.

    E004 Uncle Nearest Tennessee Whiskey

    This is a new brand, just five years old as of 2023, but its namesake has roots that go back decades before the Civil War. That’s where this story truly begins, in the rickhouses and distilleries around Lynchburg, Tennessee. The 18th and 19th centuries saw American Whiskey distilleries popping up throughout the South including Tennessee prior to it joining the Union as the 16th state in 1796. Join us as we step back in time with Uncle Nearest and the Lincoln County Process of whiskey history. Music by Patrick Patrikios

    Glenlivet - Founder's Reserve is self-described as the definitive Single Malt Scotch Whisky. Established 1824 by George Smith in the Speyside Region of Scotland. Founder Reserve: To honor George Smith’s vision, The Glenlivet Founder’s Reserve was distilled using traditional methods introduced by George himself. This included using lantern-shaped copper stills as well as traditional oak casks to age the whisky. We also feature some inspiring folks in history that we could loosely say were 'founders' in their own right. Music by Patrick Patrikios
