Ep. 14 | Ruining our Marriage with Hypothetical Questions 🙄

Hi, it's been a while. We recorded this before Christmas 😭 We answer hot-seat relationship questions to test our love and find out that we really aren't soulmates. Bummer. Yes, these HYPOTHETICAL questions did come up again later that night. Discussing current pop culture and reminiscing about the early 2000s we discuss all things from conspiracy theories to old cartoon shows that gave us nightmares. Ep. 13 | That's so gross! Reading FML Posts

4.58 to FML posts Are FMLs a thing of the past? We touch back on our nostalgic theme and read past and current posts from the infamous FML website. Some of these posts were terrible, disgusting and disturbing. Please enjoy. Why are people posting traumatic events on social media? We do not need to see your dog get eaten by a crocodile. We discuss how our 5-year-old likes to pull pranks on us now and she’s low-key good at it. Speaking of FMLs, cancellation takes another bite out of Hollywood, RIP Matt Rife. A home-cooked meal is a home-cooked meal regardless if it's the same thing every night. Who doesn’t like endless spaghetti? Ep. 12 | How did I ever survive my 20s

How to survive your 20s from two people who are still in their 20s. A time filled with mistakes, empty bank accounts and unknowingly dangerous situations. Apparently, if Ayden could get any plastic surgery in the world it wouldn’t be any of the normal enhancements we see in mainstream media. Setting your own beauty standard is key while also being able to walk like G. Your 20s is your middle Pokemon evolution. You’re still in your wartortle stage. We discuss how FOMO changes as you get older, depending on if you have children or not. Ayden gets a crash course on how not to get roofied because for some reason he just has a face that draws in crazy people. Aging is a part of life and you can either embrace it and fill every second with memorable moments leaving you with smile lines and crow's feet, or you can fight it tooth and nail avoiding the sun and anything fun. Either way, we all slowly rot. Come rot with me. Be sure to follow, like and subscribe on all platforms. We release a new episode every Wednesday. Next week our topic is FML! Don’t miss out! Ep. 11 | Couple Goals: How to have a Lasting Relationship

The secret to a happy relationship from two people who don’t know anything about anything but who have been together for 8 years. We discuss red flags, green flags and what gives us the ick for relationships and friendships. The key to any relationship is adaptability and growth. You gotta be resilient and receptive to learning and to know when you’re in the wrong. We both agree that the ickiest of icks are complainers, toxic masculinity and dudes who wear fedoras. Ep. 10 | Parenting Tips: Millennial vs. Toddlers

We are not gentle parents… or are we?  Parenting, the hardest job on earth with the lowest pay. Follow us as we transition from our high school episode to parenting, where we deep dive into how we as millennials are parents now vs. how our parents were growing up from dad jokes to mom dances to playground disasters.  Labor and delivery is a traumatic experience even if everything goes smoothly. Imagine staying up for two days straight labouring and birthing a baby into the world thinking to yourself, “Man, I’m exhausted, I can’t wait to go home and get some sleep,” only to never sleep again. Some people claim to have a beautiful birthing experience but we got bullied by our maternity nurses who most definitely peeked in high school and had a failed epidural at 9 centimetres dilated.  However, the biggest misconception we had about becoming parents was that the baby stage was going to be the hardest. People, it only gets harder as they get older, trust. Do not have a baby unless you are prepared for the child. The scariest moments of being parents are always illness and injury and having to make the dreaded trip to the hospital. We think gentle parenting should be practiced on your own children, but other people's children…. Jk  Be sure to follow us on all podcasting platforms to see new episodes every Wednesday!  Next week's topic will be RELATIONSHIPS! Don’t miss out!

  6. 9

Ep. 9 | Highschool: Uncensored and Uneducated

This week with delve into the nostalgia of Highschool, either the best or worst time of your life and maybe even a little gay time of your life, depending on what you think it means.  One thing we can actually agree on is that the Podcast is no space for hate. All are welcomed and accepted in the Why Are You Like This community.  We discuss the different cliques we as millennials were a part of and how the education system really does nothing to prepare you for the real world. Teenagers go to school so that they don’t get in trouble. Or they just regurgitate text in order to move on to the next grade without actually learning anything.  Something that most awkward teens can relate to is putting on a sweater in the morning, because mornings are cold, only to start sweating in it and becoming hyper-aware of the sweat stains in your grey T-shirt underneath. You know you can never take off your sweater now, for the sweat stains underneath will be so disgusting that everyone around you will point and scream in horror at your overheated body. No, you must keep that sweater on and sweat even more so that one can see that you indeed sweat.  PE class is often people's most liked class to take. Perhaps it is because theirs no homework, the beep test, or you get to run around, or maybe it's because you get to touch girls during the dance unit. Some might even offer to smell their fingers.  Teachers having lives outside of school is an anomaly. Teachers going to bars, hooking up with strangers, passing out in bushes and crawling back out onto to sidewalk and back into schools to teach teenagers is mind-bending… It is also very common. Being out of high school for about a decade now, it shocks us to hear every couple of years or so that teachers who used to teach us have been getting arrested for having inappropriate relationships with their students… I guess couldn’t find their soulmates at the local pub.  Be sure to follow us on YouTube, Spotify and Apple Podcasts to get new episodes every Wednesday! Next week's topic is PARENTING! Don’t miss out!

  7. 8

    Ep. 8 | Music!

Welcome back to episode 8 of the Why Are You Like This, Podcast. This week we are discussing all things MUSIC, especially from the early 2000s and 2010s. I apologize for all the poop talk... Downloading music was not just a click of a button back then. You either had to burn CDs, have physical copies, download from unreliable websites like Limewire, or pay $0.99 per song on iTunes. Some of the artists we discuss are 50 Cent, Aaron Carter (RIP), Sum 41, Avril Lavigne, and the holy goddess that is Taylor Swift. You will rarely find a millennial woman who is not a Swifty. The conspiracy theories brought up in this episode were light-hearted in regards to why Maui couldn’t swim off the island he was banished to in Moana. The discussion somehow takes a nasty turn when the topic of never trusting a fart enters the chat which snowballs into a situation where your pants and your socks get filled with brown. This only makes matters worse after you have to take a chunk of your butt crack surgically removed for unrelated reasons. We talk about the straights having gay tendencies which only happens to those who are 100% secure in their heterosexuality…obviously. Be sure to follow, like, and leave a review. We upload every Wednesday! Next week's topic is going to be HIGH SCHOOL! Don’t miss out! Ep. 7 | I got arrested

Welcome back to our 3rd and final week of Spooky Season! In this episode, we talk about the very scary reality of being arrested for looking like someone who does drugs and how we would handle a zombie apocalypse, depending on which zombies there would be. We bring up some more haunting stories about being forced to work in a haunted attic and getting furniture thrown at you for asking an Ouija board inappropriate questions. There are more clones than people in Hollywood now, just ask Kanye West, Avril Lavigne and perchance Andrew Tate. Ayden is officially a crossdresser… for Halloween because Tim Curry is a real man. We tell jokes that already exist and stories that have already been written by Stephen King. We talk about our most embarrassing moments both involving eating burritos beforehand… You’ll have to listen to find out what happened. Ayden gets a crash course on who the Hadids are because apparently, he lives under a rock and we talk about some of the cringiest pickup lines we’ve ever heard and said. We are sad that spooky season is coming to an end but are so excited to move on to something different! Be sure to follow and subscribe to catch new episodes every Wednesday. Ep. 6 | The titanic was fake!

Welcome back to week 2 of spooky season! In this episode, we touch on urban myths and legends and discover where mosquitos really come from. We deep-dived into the Titanic conspiracy theory that the whole thing was fake for an insurance scandal and Ayden faces some of his bad Karma and JUJU.  Apparently, nothing is more deadly than killer whales according to someone who knows nothing about killer whales and we discuss scary movies once again, but this time we talk about the best scary movie characters to grace our screens, which then snowballs into an appreciation rant about Bill Hader.  We talk about our greatest fears and how outer space and the deep ocean are probably the scariest places to the stranded in, according to every movie ever.  Be sure to follow us for one more week of Spooky season and don’t forget to leave a review of the show to let us know what you loved about it and what you’d like to see in upcoming episodes.  Discussing current pop culture and reminiscing about the early 2000s we discuss all things from conspiracy theories to old cartoon shows that gave us nightmares. Ep. 5 | Our house is haunted!

It’s spooky season! In this episode, we talk about some paranormal activity we’ve noticed in our house along with a very not fun story about witches on a beach. With the new evidence of the existence of aliens, we talk about different conspiracy theories regarding lizard people, creation stories and incest.  We were so spooked during this episode we had to stop filming halfway through to make sure our kids were okay in their sleep…because obviously talking about the existence of ghosts in your house that may or may not haunted at night time, might upset them.  Horror movies, Halloween costumes and haunted houses oh my! We have one more spooky episode to come for spooktober. Make sure you subscribe to catch the next one!

  11. 4

Ep. 4 | Behind the scene kids

The 2010s baby! The era where everyone was unhealthily obsessed with vampires and werewolves and thought being stalked and watched while sleeping was enduring. In this episode we discuss popular trends the 2010s had and what we were doing during this time. This will include Twilight, Vampire Diaries, Teen Wolf, True Blood Jersey Shore, Hunger Games, and Divergent. This was when we both had terrible jobs and had to do terrible things to make terrible money and pay stupid bills. Ayden relates to the outsiders in the worst way possible and it wouldn’t be a “Why are you like this,” episode if we didn’t mention the end of the world, especially the one that was supposed to happen in 2012. We show you what different provinces sound like and discuss the terrible housing crisis that realtors think they can slap a Million-dollar price tag on a shack. 12. 3

Ep. 3 | Getting action on MSN

We only argue a little about whether this episode is about the 90s or 2000s. I'm sorry for all the 9/11 talk…  Who else thinks early 2000s cartoons were just…weird? Ren and Stimpy had more than a little innuendos about sex and violence and had the most bizarre imagery for a kids' show.  Not only was the world always ending at the turn of the century but we were also graced with OG YouTube “viral” videos and movies where everyone was always sweating.  Another topic we heavily talked about was getting some action on the webcam. Omegle was apparently not the only place where you saw inappropriateness.  And we look back at some of Ayden’s most memorable Halloween costumes.

  13. 2

Ep. 2 | Movies just aren’t as good anymore

This week we’re discussing everything from early 2000s movies and trash TV shows to the end of the world. Apart from anime, I think the only entertaining TV shows are trash, gutted, reality TV. However, just like everything else, they are not as good as in the 2000s or even the 2010s. Even Tommy Wiseau’s, The Room was more entertaining for all the wrong reasons. We are unfortunately out of the era of cut classics and into the era of saturated sequels, prequels and everything in between. Kelsy explains to Ayden how Kim Kardashian became famous and they discuss the difference between old money and new money using RuPaul as an example.

  14. 1

Ep. 1 | I hitchhiked for 16 hours at 16 years old with nothing but a backpack!

Join us as we discuss Ayden’s denial of his diagnosed ADHD, travelling alone, and eating sunscreen
