Wild Things
by Elizabeth Jessmore
The podcast, “Wild Things’” goal is to cultivate a recognition and admiration for the many intriguing, captivating, and fascinating species present in Idaho. The podcast will educate in a fun and engaging way, with both Idaho natives and nonnatives alike gaining a greater appreciation for the living beings present around them. Furthermore, guest speakers from our very own Biology department will be invited to speak on the cutting-edge research being conducted here at Boise State. Topics such as endemism, niche specialization, fossil evidence, general natural history, and conservation will be investigated in depth. Given this, I invite listeners to learn about what makes Idaho so unique and specialized, in addition to what specificities make it ideal homeland for multiple species that exist nowhere else on the planet.
