Jake Novak has been a TV news producer and editorial columnist for more than 25 years, with expertise in political, economic, religious, and cultural issues. He has produced shows at CNBC, CNN, FOX, and several local stations across the country. Novak has a bachelor’s degree in political science from Columbia University, and a master’s degree from Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism.  His background reads like a pedigree of the ultimate in "who's who" among news production from local news to national news (CNN, CNBC, Fox Business Network, Newsmax...) as well as managing editor of NewsNation Network...a fascinating background to go along with a great understanding of why we, as a country, are in the shape we are in.

James “Jim” Burling is an attorney and vice president of Legal Affairs at Pacific Legal Foundation where he has been since 1983. Jim is a proponent for property owners and property rights and has litigated cases from Alaska to Florida. He is a member of the Federalist Society’s Environmental Law and Property Rights Practice Group’s Executive Committee. He is also the author of “Nowhere to Live: The Hidden Story of America’s Housing Crisis.  In 2001, Jim successfully argued a major property rights case, Palazzolo v. Rhode Island before the U.S. Supreme Court. 

My guest for this Friday is going to be Aaron Love.  Aaron is retired from the SOF community and was a U.S. Air Force PJ (Pararescue Jumper). Currently, he is the Chief Information Officer for “Ones Ready” podcast and is a project focused on scouting and identifying high-probability candidates for the U.S. Air Force Special Warfare career fields.  He is also a board member of the Veteran Bushido Brotherhood, grounded on physical fitness, for veterans that still want to feel like they’re part of the tribe.  Our topic of conversation will be…failures within government agencies, both civilian and military, and how to fix them.

Jeffrey E. Paul is a research professor in the Social Philosophy Center at West Virginia University. Dr. Dean later became flight surgeon for Naval Air Station Pensacola and is now in private practice in Pensacola, Florida. 

 Tonight, I will go over Part 2 of the Post Traumatic Stress and discuss the failures as to why first responder agencies do not take care of their own.  I've also got my 15 points of "Rules for Leadership" that I wrote and sent out several years ago and will share with the audience.

Most people have the opinion that it is only the military who suffer from this debilitating injury but nothing could be further from the truth.  Here's a point that few realize of understand, most people who go into the military spend 4 to 8 years in and then leave for another career.  Those who go into law enforcement spend 20+ years of their lives in it and you always see people on their worst day.  Those in the military suffer from what's called an "acute" form of Post Traumatic Stress while law enforcement and other first responders suffer from a "cumulative" form as they spend 20+ years seeing the worst of the worst.  

With the rise of hostilities in the United States, training continues to be the focal point of law enforcement.  Too many people do not consider training necessary, however, we are seeing throughout the country the failures...not only in training programs where proper application of the law is a requirement, but also the selection of proper and highly experienced highly knowledgeable instructors.  It's been said many times before and it's worth repeating...just because someone was in a certain agency or part of an organization, it does not make them an instructor.  Tune in to Wiretap on Friday at 9P EST/8P CST and you'll hear what it takes to be among the best.

George is former NSA and then brought in to the FBI as a supervisor within their intelligence unit. After seeing what the FBI was doing and how they were violating the rights of American citizens, he stepped forward and blew the “whistle” on their illegal activities. He is extremely knowledgeable of the US Constitution and currently serves as the Director of Law Enforcement Outreach and Education Center Development at Hillsdale College. Jeremiah received his B.S. degree in History from Hillsdale College in 2008. He left Hillsdale and spent 10 years in the corporate world, including Vice President of Training for a large financial services company. He returned to Hillsdale where he earned his Masters and PhD in Politics. He is married and has five children.
