Woman In Talk, a podcast hosted by Women In Tech South Africa, is a space where we have conversations which display moments of tenacity, fortitude and strength with the aim of challenging and changing the perception of women especially in tech spaces. Women In Tech is on a mission to empower 5 million women and girls by 2030 and we at Women In Talk believe that we are doing our part by bringing these conversations to all who are keen to hear and act on it. Teaching a women is teaching a generation, and our hope is for our conversations to inspire, challenge encourage all those who hear it.

Being a Young Woman In Tech
Women hold 28% of all jobs in STEM, this is according to a report by the World Bank. With such low levels of female representation across all levels in the tech space, it can feel intimidating for a women to join and even be comfortable in such professions. However that did not deter Nitasha from taking up space as a young woman in tech. As the current recipient of the Women In Tech Aspiring Teen Award and the co-founder and former president of Tech Society at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, she speaks to us about the lessons from her failures and celebrations from her successes as she continues to immerse herself into the tech space.
