Word and Image

The Word and Image podcast represents a collaboration between the John Curtin Gallery and the Curtin University Creative–Critical Imaginations Research Network in the School of Media, Creative Arts and Social Inquiry. In this podcast, staff and students discuss and share their works of creative writing produced in response to exhibitions of artwork at the John Curtin Gallery. The process of responding to a work of visual art by producing a verbal or written description – whether that is poetry, fiction or creative nonfiction – is known as ekphrasis.
