For me, as the song title suggests: it's my way of returning all the praises to God for His unending love towards me. It's been him all the way, you know... I am glad I can still engage in this week's contest though it's pretty late. My entry for this week is Westlife's version of "You raise me up". My voice isn't really good but I believe you'd still be happy listening to the song. I choose this song because lately I've been having series of challenges both personal and at school. All in all, God has continuously raised me up and given me victory. It takes the strength from God for us to stay unshaken in the face of every trials. I try and sometimes it doesn't work as I plan but God has given me the spirit of resilience to remain unwavering. Everyone has his or her own story to tell but regardless, God is still in the business of raising us up. I appreciate the initiators of this amicable initiative and everyone who take out time to bless us with their songs. My entry for this week is one of my favorite songs. It is titled **"Older" by Sasha Sloan. This is one of the songs that I like so much. Marriage is a lifetime commitment. As such , we should be mindful of who we choose to be our lifetime partner. Not one that'd end with the parents separating. This always have a huge impact on the children. The artist must have grown up in a violent home. This, this affected her as a child. The truth is, it takes only a strong and determined soul to pull out from family trends. I pray that I have a family that will always be together against all odds. I hope you find this song interesting and worth engaging. "Tightrope" is one of the amazing songs in the movie. It entails the decision people take in life not minding what others would think. I am inspired by this song because it brings my mind to the realization that Life is an adventure. There's no harm in trying. It is better to try and fail than to not try at all. I encounter so many difficulties: some that even leave me in a state of dilemma. Despite all of this I gain my strength from my belief that God is in the centre of it all, so I can overcome all things. Every line of this song means a lot to me. God is the reason why I am breathing. People come and live. All in all, if you are still alive that is because God chooses you to be among the living. We go out on daily basis to seek greener pastures. Some people encounter series of challenges and constraints. Most people even die while on it. I'm a lover of worship songs ; as such Hillsong Worship remains one of the music crew that can handle worship so well. This was one of the songs we ministered in my church during the Easter Week. This song shows the unconditional love of God and by extension that of His son, Jesus Christ. It explores Jesus' personality among which is humility. Love is a beautiful thing. Love doesn't find fault. Love is taking someone for who that person is. Love is encouraging strength and helping to work on weaknesses and what have you. Love should strive to bring out the best in you rather than trying to make you be who you are not. I choose this song for a reason. Most of us are in a situation where we always need validation from people. We try to fit. We do things to please others even at our detriment. Always trying to feign perfection so that we could be accepted—this is not what love is about. That is why Caillat in her songs "Try" says we should not try hard to please others. I love this song because I love love 😘🫣😜 Every time I listen to this song I fall in love with the lyrics over and over again. It reminds me that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.
