    Is empathy still a part of human nature?

    In this episode, Ella, Abby, Katelyn, and Seerat ("The Empathizers") ask an important question: Is empathy still a part of human nature? Join them as they interview two professionals, Mr. Stu Gillet (retired police officer who worked for the Vancouver Police) and Ms. Candace Darch (a child youth care worker), who provide a variety of answers. Listeners are encouraged to keep an open mind, as empathy means different things for each person.

    Why are the teenage years so complicated?

    Saanvi, Karman, Johana, and Maya ("Fourward") present a podcast episode that aims to bring awareness to teenage struggles and complications. Created by a group of teenagers, the podcast seeks to shed light on what teenagers experience during their crucial growing years and to encourage others to better understand and support them. Through their Innovation 10 project, the group poses an important question: “Why are the teenage years so complicated?” They hope that instead of labelling teenagers as lazy or worthless, listeners will gain insight into their challenges and emotions.In this episode, the team interview several experts and professionals. Maya Tekavcic, a clinical counsellor from OK Clinic Therapy Group with an RCC, BA, BEd, and MA in Counselling, shared her expertise on understanding teenagers and their emotional development. Manisha Yadav, a personality coach with an MBA, M.A. in Psychology, BEd, and BSc, provided insights into parenting and its impact on teenagers. Finally, Tristan Taylor, founder of the Canadian AI Advancement Institute, discussed how artificial intelligence and social media influence teenagers today. The podcast concludes with a “word on the street,” offering authentic perspectives that capture both the professional and personal aspects of teenage life.

    In this episode, Finn, Yusuf, Ryder, and Bowen will attempt to answer the question, “Why do humans experience fear?” They talk about their experiences and interview Lisa Masini, a PhD Student at UBC, about her research on the Autonomic Nervous System.

    Is there a good and evil?

    In this episode, Caleigh, Sabrina, Bella and Sadie talk about the difference between good and evil and if there is a way to separate the two, religiously and psychologically. Are the concepts of good and evil truly measurable, or are they just words made up by the human mind in an attempt to understand the world? Featuring interviews with Bethany Baptist Youth Pastor Jordan Powell and Psychologist Teresa Johnson.

    Are we using AI or is AI using us?

    In this episode, Simrat, Simrin, and Anishka explore whether humans are truly utilizing artificial intelligence or if AI is quietly shaping human behaviour, creativity, and decision-making. Through street interviews, Reddit stories, and immersive examples, they reveal how AI influences everyday choices, often without people realizing it.The episode features insights from Tristan Taylor, founder of the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Advancement Institute; Professor Vered Shwartz of the University of British Columbia, who examines how language technologies subtly guide decisions; and Tris Hussey, author and digital storyteller, who reflects on AI’s role in creativity and authorship. Together, these perspectives challenge listeners to rethink control, ethics, and human agency in an AI-driven world.
