Commitment is a decision. And when you make a decision, you create boundaries. Those boundaries begin to shape your choices. You’re saying: this is the direction I’m choosing. You’re declaring your dedication to that path. And somewhere inside of that dedication… clarity begins to form.Because commitment isn’t always about having everything figured out first. Sometimes clarity meets you after you’ve chosen.Proverbs 3:5: “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”There’s something so poetic about that to me. It’s the idea that faith asks you to move even when your mind can’t map the whole road.And then in Romans 10:9, it says that if you declare with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord, you will be saved. Even that begins with a declaration, a commitment, spoken out loud.Sometimes the power isn’t just in the knowing.It’s in the DECISION.

There’s room for you to be all of who you are. Don’t let the world convince you otherwise. At the end of the day, you can’t be anyone but yourself anyway. Everyone else is already taken, so just be you. Authentic, peculiar, and one of a kind.

Today we’re really getting into what it looks like for me to love myself for real, for real. Not the pretty version, but all of me. I talk about learning how to be both sensitive and strong, and how change, growth, and honestly just survival have shaped who I am. We get into embracing imperfection, how your environment can either stretch you or stunt you, and why loving who you are right now matters just as much as loving who you’re becoming. This conversation is really just an invitation to give yourself grace, to honor your journey, and to remember that every version of you deserves love.

I'm, your favorite Black woman, sharing a vulnerable piece of me this morning. I’ve never fully fit into traditional romantic boxes, I don't like fairytales, or hallmark happy endings, so in this episode I open up about the discomfort, the questions, and the growth that comes with navigating love in a real way. Through a personal poem I wrote called Closer to My Vision, I reflect on intimacy, emotional connection, and the journey of staying true to myself while learning how to love, being vulnerable to it, fighting to evolve for it, as well as for myself, from a place of authenticity.

Waiting isn’t punishment, it’s preparation. In this Valentine’s season, we talk about heartbreak, healing, and learning how to wait well by trusting God’s timing, surrendering control, and falling in love with Him first. God has your back! Trust.

Chivalry isn’t dead...it’s intentional. This conversation unpacks assertiveness, mutual respect, emotional safety, and the role of discernment in dating and relationships. We also reflect on boundaries, God’s timing, and how both men and women contribute to healthy, chivalrous connections.

To wrap up the Forgive & Flourish series, this episode explores the difference between potential and projection in relationships. We often invite people into our lives based on who we hope they’ll become, rather than who they are showing us they are right now. In this conversation, I unpack why alignment is the key; alignment with your values, your growth, and where God is taking you. Potential isn’t rooted in imagination or wishful thinking; it’s revealed through present fruit, consistency, and character. This episode is an invitation to discern wisely, love honestly, and choose relationships that support your flourishing without requiring you to shrink, wait, or overextend grace beyond wisdom.

Flourishing begins with letting go, not always of people, but of the heaviness, the grudges, the knots in our spirit. Forgiveness loosens the grip, and in that release, we grow.

Forgiveness is liberation and the first step to get there is learning to step outside of yourself; having the courage to pause, recenter, and then respond, not just react.
