This is a podcast episode featured on Sobre la Meza con, Milton Meza, as a partnership with Bluegrass Community & Techincal College's HUM 120 Course.  As our founder, Edith Cruz works on finding a new name and home for this serial podcast we will be featuring small episodes like this one. We will work on showcasing the stories we've always wanted to publish. As of right now, we do not have an official name for our podcast or a straight forward plan as to where it will go. So for now enjoy the small stories we can tell! This featured episode focuses on what it's like to grow up in the United States as a Mexican Immigrant. Specifically focuses on the holidays and what it was like for both Edith Cruz & Alfonso Laris to embrace their Mexican Culture in the U.S. while still blending with the American culture. 

The Torch Podcast was founded by Paul Laurence Dunbar's High school Online Newspaper "The Lamplighter" in 2016. Edith Cruz served as a writer & producer of the podcast in 2017-2018. Cruz took a quick change to Season 3 of The Torch as she focused on highlighting stories of undocumented students like her in Kentucky. Episode 5 focuses on the DREAM Act 2019. A bill sponsored by Sen. Graham, Lindsey that impacts DACAmented youth. In this episode, you learn what the DREAM Act 2020 means for thousands of DACAmented Youth in the United States. You will hear Edith Cruz story about how a bill like this has impacted her life along with her peers.
