Hypnotic Recovery Hosted by: Keithanthony (hypnotist) with special guess tonight from North Pole Alaska hypnotist Aino Welch. Many say after a brain injury we develop other parts of the brain, we all know about compensation, accommodating our new person and some of the deficits’, but some believe we gain new access to parts of the brain that we were not or did not know we used, hypnotism is just one of dozens of different abilities people all over the world say they have. Keithanthony is stepping in for Craig Sicilia for Monday 19th Novemember but still doing also his own shows on the 2nd 4th and any 5th Saturdays 7pm pacific, 10pm Eastern which is 2.00amGMT(Sunday) London time. His TBI story and NDE makes one wonder do we sustain great losses after injury? Why yes, but do we as well gain gifts, and abilities that we didn’t even know of. Hypnotic recovery will prove to be interesting as well we will learn much more about our selves by using and working with what we can do rather by what we use to do.

BEST OF BRAIN INJURY RADIO - PRERECORDED
Brain Injury - The Silent Epidemic - Pre recordeded sept 2010 What The Hell You Think I look Fine!!! If your a survivor then you know what I am talking about, you can be sitting with someone and they say well I would have never thought you have a brain injury, people don't get it. We can change this, lots of education needs to happen in our communities. The effects of this not being understood destroys families and lives There are lots of families doing... great things for their survivors, but in a lot of cases TBI goes misunderstood, and lives are torn apart, family member begin to believe the actions are intentional. The countless lives that have been lost. it does not have to be that hard. We need to reach out and educate our community.

I Have A Dream - Our civil rights movement - PRERECORDED
I HAVE A DREAM "our civil rights movement" MLK set the way for so many of us trying to achieve civil equality, after a disability such as brain injuries our rights and participation in our own lives is taken away or sometimes abandoned in the confusion. People begin to believe we do not matter as much as we once did because of our disability, but it is that very disability that makes us who we now are. As we become strong as a community we can begin to strive for equality learning from others. To this day there is no standard of care from state to state or city to city for that matter. We are tossed into a system that’s backlogged up to 6 months or more. Meanwhile most often we are drugged up until they can deal with us. The path of destruction that the delayed treatment causes in the lives of those affected by Brain Injury is usually non-reparable and takes the very lives and souls of those surviving for years and sometimes a life time.

Why So Sensitive (Pre-recorded)
The word “sensitivity" is often regarded as an emotional state -- one of being easily hurt or provoked. Yet for many brain injury survivors, this word means something more than emotion: it is also our physical reality. We have to deal with changes to sight, hearing, and other senses. We might have to wear sunglasses to shield us from the brightness of light, headphones to diminish ambient noise. No matter the situation, many of us have to find ways to deal with physical hypersensitivity. Join author Ashok Rajamani as he returns to host Brain Injury Radio on Monday, October 10, for a show that will explore how brain injury affects the senses -- and gets away with it

Hidden Epidemic - Hosted by Craig Sicilia
Hidden Epidemic Written and Directed by Bill Brown We have been out for all most 2 years training thousands that are getting it, for the first time people are beginning to understand what it is. Ask you self before reading on what is a concussion….. It is a mild form of traumatic brain injury – did you know this or not be honest.. so somewhere along the line the words we use to discribe the injury do not fit the posible seriuosness. As more than 2,000 NFL players in more than 80 law suites could be more than 25 billion dollors with a flood of new lawsuites following these. The Hiddent Epidemic, Bill Brown and the Survivor Network teaming up with professionals, atheletes and schools developing a plan to launch this fall. a. As many as 30 million concussions in the US annually b. 20% of the population has the apo lipo protein E-4 gene which makes it more likely that you’ll have long term problems from a head injury/concussion. c. Fifty times more concussions occur outside of organized sports than within organized sports. Most of these concussions are undiagnosed and untreated. So much attention goes into sports that the real problems and solutions have been ignored for a variety of reasons listen in tonight and be the first to get a climps

Building our TBI Connections through Social Networking
Building our TBI Connections through Social Networking As we already know, society exists in a digital age, especially with the way we communicate with one another through the use of computers and mobile devices. Many of us use the Internet for a variety of reasons. Looking up information, checking/sending email, playing games, shopping, instant messaging, and paying bills are common activities people do online everyday. Another tool that can be very effective online is the use of social networking sites such as Facebook, Foursquare, Twitter, and the like. In addition to keeping in touch with family and friends, we can also use these social networking sites for support groups and online communities. In the TBI community, online communities can be so helpful when it comes to support. These communities and/or support groups offer a safe environment for mutual support and encouragement. Knowing that everyone who is part of their support group share a common interest and that they are not alone can be extremely helpful. This show aims to look at the positive effect that interaction through social networking sites has on the TBI community and its members. Kevin will share his thoughts on how social networking has impacted his life as a TBI Thriver and encourages listeners to call in and share their experiences.
